The Inverted Jenny has been reported on before. This one is no bonkers person but actually a rare U.S postage stamp that rose to fame because of its recognizable misprint. Well, one of these stamps got itself put in a locket, a glass locket with a gold rim to be precise. Apparently, this was especially prepared at the behest of the President of the Texas Midland Railroad, Colonel Ned Green so that he could gift it to his wife.

The unique pendant in reference has the Inverted Jenny back to back with an example of a correctly printed 1918 24-cent airmail stamp. Mabel Green was a happy woman to recieve it from her husband and kept it until she died in 1950.
And now the pendant has come to the notice of Heritage Auctions which is readying to auction it off at the Four Seasons Hotel in NYC on December 12. The pre-production estimate is around $200,000 and could be more. Harvey Bennett of Heritage Auction shares that Colonel Green bought the entire sheet of stamps from a dealer for $20K. Charles Hack, a New Yorker, bought one of these stamps in 2007 for $977,500 and made news.
