In fact, it has been decided that the final buyer will get the golden chance of naming this one. Here is a little history on this blue ice. Discovered at Petra Diamonds’ Cullian diamond mine in South Africa, this one is 7.03ct and has been cut from a 26.58ct rough stone.

Before going on auction, the blue diamond will be exhibited in many cities like Hong Kong, Paris, New York and London. Even Petra Diamonds has admitted that this is perhaps the most precious gem ever to be offered at Sotheby’s. So far, the Blue Wittelsbach Diamond costing 16.4 million pounds is regarded as the most expensive diamond in the world. Let’s see what magic this new nameless diamond brews up!
