We have just discovered some new Television remote controls by Sony Japan. These remote controls have simple basic functions and they come with big buttons. This will make it easier for the users to see the buttons and change the channels easily. These remote controls are waterproof. Thank God somebody at least came up with a waterproof remote control. Mine just stopped functioning as I accidentally poured water on it.Now I can care less if it happens again.

These Sony remote controls are compatible with most TV manufacturers. They will be on sale from September 10 onwards at but only in Japan. They will be available for 2468 Yen ($29). They come in five different colors. Interestingly, the remote controls have sharp numbered buttons but the button no. zero is printed on the button no. 10 in a small size.

I wonder why they had to do this. Probably Sony wanted to save some space for other purposes. Nevertheless, it’s not a bad deal considering it’s a water-proof remote control. My only worry is if this will ever be available in other places apart from Japan.

It’s rather surprising to realize that some people are indeed very strange when it comes to performing scary stunts. A Canadian man is selling his homemade jetpack via online classified ad. Apparently, he handcrafted the jetpack by himself and used car and airplane parts. He had been a mechanic for 15 years. You must be wondering what this jetpack is all about. Well, this will allow you to jump in the air as high as 10 feet.

You can jump twice per hour. It weighs 53lbs and it is as big as an ordinary camping backpack. It comes in grey color. If you are looking at the fun part of the jetpack, it’s advisable to also look at the flip side of it. You might land up dashing against the wall of a building if you are not careful while jumping in the air. You might land up breaking your bones no matter how safe it is to jump in the air with this jetpack on your back.

Another scary part is that it may just explode on your back if it’s overheated. Initially the jetpack was available for as low as $500 but now the price has shot up to as high as $2,500. If you are seriously thinking about buying then, you can test this yourself and also watch the owner perform the stunt for you so that you get the basic ideas to take proper precautions.

There have been several complaints about fireworks being either too expensive, or noisy or even too polluting. Moreover you would need license to burn fireworks and you would not necessarily get it every time. GPS ‘Bait Bikes’ May Help Cops Find Stolen Bikes:  News came last week around 100 bicycles have been stolen on-campus, calculating a loss of $47,000 plus. To deal with the situation, Police plans to use untaken bikes as decoy, and affix the concealed GPS system to the casing. Once bike reaches wrong hands, it will instantaneously send signals to cops, who can then track its locality automatically and take him into custody. They say the cost of the GPS unit is $1,000 (including monthly monitoring fee).
