Jean has recieved her training from Le Cordon Bleu in London, and all the knowledge gained and the international exposure can be seen reflected in the eight gourmet popcorn flavors. Yes, there is hige variety from Black Truffle & White Cheddar, Vietnamese Cinnamon Sugar to Chiptole Caramel & Almonds. There are samplers available too which comprise five boxes of assorted flavours.

Apart from the unusual way of looking at popcorn as a gourmet snack, Jean also has following the green principles to her credit. Her company makes it a point to use only organic and local ingredients to make all the products. The starting price is $30 for some quality popcorn for your movie night.

Now, this isn’t a truly novel idea for we have been spotting the bite-sized burgers on menus for some time now. But Minnies has gone a step ahead by further decreasing the sizes and widening the range of food from just burgers to sandwiches, salads and even pizzas to name a few.

Some of the dishes come in servings of 3 miniature snacks while others come in singles with side dishes. We also hear that the Minnies restaurant in Chicago is a hot favorite with Barack Obama too. However, franchise opportunities do not seem to be part of the plans  with the folks at Minnies. Well, sitting in a different part of the world, we do wish they were!

Surely, no one earlier thought of pouring diamonds into something as mundane as a cupcake! Mervis Diamond Importers have made this cupcake topped up with eight round cut dazzling diamonds around its circular edge. It has a two carat Asscher cut diamond queening in its centre.

Its price tag is $ 30,000. Certainly several hundred times pricier than an original delicious cupcake! Mervis Diamond Importers will hold the `Cupcakes and Wedding Rings’ trunk show on May 1 and 2, where two such identical diamond cup cakes will be on display.

Jonathan Mervis apparently decided to do this for a fun feeling, to make weddings stunning and memorable, and also foresees diamond cupcakes turning into hot buys for weddings. Mervis is also trying his luck at the Guinness Book of World Records. If there are families that would go for cupcakes for sheer indulgence in luxury even when the world around is reeling under job losses and poverty, one needs to wait and watch if the diamond cupcake turns a reason to spend.

The developers say that this device can be given to each diner who will select their order from the menu flashing on the EPOS-lite screen, which will be displayed on a screen in front of the chef. So, there will be no more waiting for that elusive waiter.

Even the payment can be handled by the same instrument. After dinner, you can enter information about dishes you ordered and pay with your plastic money like you do online. This will save you any worries that arise when your card disappears for a good 10 minutes into the hands of complete strangers.
Not only this, the wireless EPOS-lite even recharges itself when placed on the tabletop. Wow, won’t it be super cool to bypass the wait staff completely!

The arrangement of table and cooking area can be expanded to accommodate eight people.

The project is the creation of the Dial_6 faction, an industrial design research group comprising of six students with aim to encourage the aluminum service sector in Quebec.
