Finding and buying property has become almost impossible with the rise in land prices. However, one need not give up the desire to live in a beautiful house because other options are always available.
The world of prefabs, after a frantic dose of producing popular living pieces, has taken the backseat and given up to houseboats which take the limelight today. Designed by Bernhard Urich in collaboration with design firm Confused-Direction’s in-house designers Flo Florian and Sascha Akkermann, the Silberfisch houseboat is a floating mini-country that you can take away with you, so long as there is a water body. Designed with the idea of creating a beautiful house in times when the cost of living is too high to buy or build a house, the houseboat may nevertheless be quite unaffordable for most people.
