ether Christophe Golays Cephee Collection Seeks To Defy The Hard Times

The recession might have activated a slowdown in the designer watches market but it could not do anything to dampen the spirits of Christophe Golay. Well, this brand believes that there will always be buyers for ultra-luxury items whether financial hard times or not. In fact, it was with this optimism that it just launched a $350,000 worth super-end timepiece in the U.S markets.

This new range of real stylish and rather extravagant watches comes from Cephee (that’s the name of the product line) and display the finest of Swiss craftsmanship and technology. Among the first ones to be introduced under the new Cephee tag, the watch is called ‘Ether’.

October is special. No we do not mean because of Halloween but because of a more important reason – it is the breast cancer awareness month. And David Yurman is all set to celebrate it by launching a bunch of lavish pink dog tags for his Women’s Tag Collection. Now, that’s a new one. For one, the “male jewelry type” becomes feminine that too in a shade of pretty pink, which is also the color of breast cancer support.

The picture above features the Pink Rhodonite and Sterling Silver Breast Cancer Dog Tag on the left. This has been emblazoned with the DY logo and carries a price tag of $450. On the right, there is the Pave Diamond Encrusted model which is more eye-catching of the two (though we like the left one better for it’s toned down nature and simple elegance plus it’s cheaper too) and costs $950.

Louis_Vuitton_Mechanic_Pearls_collection LV Magnetic Pearls To Attract Those Bored Of Diamonds

Getting bored of one’s diamonds is a possibility that cannot be ignored. And that’s the reason why it is advisable to also own a few pearls for some variety. Even brands like Louis Vuitton have been paying special attention to this idea. In fact, it has launched a very exquisite mechanical pearl collection that will match with the style of the modern woman of today.

We are quite impressed with the way the collection introduces the bicycle chain style to the pearls without marring their charm and beauty. In fact, it is this unique marriage of the most unlikely patterns that makes this jewelry line so much appealing.

3-ring-split-widec DNA2Diamonds can Turn Dead Pets into Diamonds

Did you ever know that diamond can also be extracted literally from your deceased pet’s ashes or a lock of its hair? This is freaky and sounds very unbelievable. However, a company called DNA2Diamonds comes up with a weird way of creating this sparkling gem out of your deceased pet. This requires a long process though.

All you need to do is to submit a DNA sample of your deceased pet to the company. They will then go through a series of procedures such as; extracting carbon from the sample, adding the carbon to a real diamond seed, which is then placed to an incubator so that it grows. After going through all the necessary procedures, the stone is finally cut and is closely examined by the Gemological Institute of America before it is packaged and sent to you.

mauboussin Mauboussin Gave Free Diamonds Away For Marketing Strategy

Recession might seem like one big joke to those in Tokyo. Well, we don’t mean to only refer to the 12K yen that government shelled out per person in Japan to aid in the financial crisis, but also to the marketing strategy adopted by French jewelry store Mauboussin. Believe it or not, but as part of the launch of its new store in Ginza, the brand gave away 5,000 diamonds for free.

Each diamond was worth 0.1 carat with a cost of $55. This strategy was used to encourage people to invest in luxury gems during the hard times. But we do have serious doubts about the finances of a company who is offering diamonds like promotion cookies.

Paris spoke about the diamond studded pink Bentley that she spent diamonds on and the Dolce & Gabbana diamond studded dress. It seems the young hotel heiress can’t get enough of diamonds but how can anyone be spiteful when she’s only buying these things purely from the goodness of her heart?
