Most products from France automatically get termed as luxury products, because they come from the land of Marie Antoinette and Napolean! Well, that was a weird thing to say, but it is no big news that France is the biggest exporter of luxury and fine living. This time around, French company Ryan has launched a cool new cellphone for the Chinese market which would target the high end market in the communist country.
The REYN handset is made of 925 pure silver and sapphire and you could ask their artists to dole out a laser enabled artwork which would consist of a logo, motto or signature. There is no information about the price or availability and there is also no information about the specification.

One of the biggest lies constructed by the society is the institution of marriage and also the system of engagement ceremonies. It is good business really, with many people spending hundreds to thousands of dollars for that “special” proposal. It is one of those silly customs that people follow religiously only to realize later that the engagement was probably a bad decision, and if they were unlucky enough to proceed towards marriage, that proposal was a death knell.
However, since the demand for that “special proposal” will never cease to end, hotels, and jewellers are always coming up with creative ideas to fool people into getting married. One such creative business venture is the $10,000 Proposal Martini, which has been put forward by Algonquin Hotel. It is the most expensive martini ever, for it comes with that annoying diamond ring in it served by a waiter who wears white gloves at the hotel’s famous Blue Bar.

He has been designing stuff for big names like Tiffany & Co. and Ralph Lauren. In fact, the fans of the much coveted ‘Golden Compact’ collection by Estee Lauder should know that Kelvin’s the one actually behind the spectacular range. This was fun to know but what made the man a huge hit with us was a little fact about his career start. Believe it or not but he actually started out as a toy designer and even worked on the Happy Meals toys for McDonald’s.
And now that Kelvin has turned jewelry designer from being a toy expert, he feels that the two job profiles are not much different as both require a vivid imagination. Hmmm…you are right, this one is indeed a bit over the top. But it is luxury nonetheless. The Spécialités Tourbillon Diamants Watch from the house of Blancpain is a very intricate piece of jewelry (yes, it seems to that more than being a timepiece) with a really hard to guess pattern. Being an overwhelming beauty that it is, the timepiece lays firm on a 40 mm wide white gold case. This particular space alone has to its credit some 20 carats of diamonds.
The pattern on the face is recreated on the rear of the watch. The white gold three piece set carries some 571 precious ices that total an impressive 14.15 carats. As for the dial, it has it own exclusive share of 164 diamonds and 5.17 carats.
