Armani Casa, house of furnishings, launched over ten years ago and have remained a strong opponent amongst luxury furniture sellers. The world may be crushing under the weight of the recession but this hasn’t had much of an effect in the luxurious world of fashionable furniture.
Although the demand for luxury furniture items had experienced something of a slump over the past year or so, Armani Casa is still going strong and when it comes to haute couture furniture, who better to buy from than Armani Casa? Armani Casa recently launched a new line of furniture and furnishing fabrics which made their appearance at the Salone del Mobile. Amongst these was a desk that drew much attention: plated in 24 karat gold, the Giorgio Armani desk is worth $38,500. Simplistic in every way from design to functionality, the only highlight of the desk is its gold surface.

Who could possibly ever forget, Wall-E, the sweet little robot that was left behind on Earth when it became a massive landfill? Even though his lady love Eve was faster, shinier and a whole lot better technically and as a robot, it was Wall-E that was the star of the movie.
It appears that Wall-E didn’t just inspire geeks to ask out beautiful girls but even inspired designers to create cooler furniture. Fred Baier doesn’t say so but his Dual Quad Desk does look strangely like Wall-E. The desk has been designed with three different looks though each has a striking resemblance to the other. According to the designer, the desk in pale flesh colour with the haunting blue eyes is the baddie, so perhaps the one in dark charcoal grey must be the angelic version of these. The desks were made for a private collection in UK and US.

We were wondering that it’s high time someone came up with a cool method to allow effective use of a laptop in the comfort of one’s bed without undue ergonomic stress. Better known as available versions like Laptop Laidback, Laptop Wizard or Lapdawg X4, this set up of adjustable trays lets you enjoy some reclined computing.
Like we mentioned, the Lapdawg X4 (yeah, we like this one the best and the coolest) comes with support trays that can easily be adjusted to achieve the right angle and height for convenient laptop handling. So much so that it even lets you position your arms with elbows at right angles with support from the bed or sofa surface that Lapdawg is propped on to. I think we all will agree that none can work all day in that position but it definitely will be comfortable for a few several hours.

Having everything you desire at your desk as you sit down to work is nearly impossible. It seems your desk can never accommodate all the files and tidbits that you need in its many drawers and when it does then the desk ends up being so huge it takes up most of the space in your office.

The design of the Ci Desk is extremely practical and works as the most efficient work desk you could possibly ask for. The three-wheeled cart-desk is mobile and can easily be rolled off to the desired location so that if you suddenly feel like working out on the porch, it can be arranged without any hassle. Designed by Creative Industrial Objects, the Ci Desk offers specially designed space for almost every gadget you would need to use at work. The desk has a pull-out drawer for your laptop, with its own mouse pad.
