Yet, we are quite taken by the creativity of this fresh furniture design graduate who has given us a great way to curl up like a baby and forget all our worries of the world. That is just what the rocker-shaped P38 chair lets you do thanks to its all ergonomic interiors.

The cocoon shape that appeals to our modern interior decoration sensibilities has been painted in high quality white gloss paint (the one that is used on cars) while the interiors have been done in black leather. The contrast is aesthetically very pleasing.

We are told that the gorgeous base is really a bent plywood form that has been shaped by hand (now, this makes it very rare). And the name P38 cmes from the body filler that gives this chair its delicious curves. Being hand made, the chair has a huge price tag that reads $6,340. It is earthy, it is rich and it is spectacular in its rawness. We are talking about the Nairobi Drum Table that is being sold under the brand Kreiss. We are informed that the table carries the trademark “exotic” look of its maker. As a matter of fact, this furniture unit was introduced some 15 years ago. Yes, we are afraid that it was only recently that we spotted this one.

Designed like a very rare Colonial English-style furniture, the Nairobi Drum Table has a very tradition-marries-contemporary feel to it. The shell of the table has been tiled all over with treated coconut shells that were put together by hand to create a mosaic pattern, which truly lends to the table’s unique character.

The table stands on cast bronze animal feet. The surface of the table holds a medallion insert for that antique texture. The dimensions are 38 1/2″ D x 20″ H. The retail price if pretty huge at $4,650.
