Aimed to bring an extra edge to your style statement at the most glittering of balls, the bags indeed are something to die for.

The Orrefors collection include clutches made from solid crystal with the strap developed in stainless steel. The items are part of a limited edition of five, so your desire for exclusivity can be easily met with.

Interestingly, Lena has name the bags after her sisters, mother and herself. Well, that explains Siv, Lena, Gunilla and Christina. The designer reveals that she, her sisters and mother are very different people and in the similar manner she has tried to give each of her handbags a similar mold but with different expressions. The price range for this little indulgence is between £3250 and £3700.

Pictured above is a gem-set Bowenite Magot by Faberge that is exhibited at Christie’s auction house in Geneva on 9 May. Known as “Onassis Buddha,” it is a finely carved figure, with expressed hands, head and ruby tongue and was first bought by Aristotle Onassis in the early 1960’s and since then was kept on the “Christina” yacht. News is it may fetch $ 500,000-$700,000 during an auction sale in London on 11 June.
