This chess set is fit for the blue blood. We are talking about the Queen’s Silver Jubilee chess set which was restored in 1977. If it helps to know the set also won the esteemed Design Council Awards. And currently the Silver Jubilee Chessmen are balanced to the US chess Federation playing weight. Bearing the London Hallmark, the seat has been made in two suede-lined leather book boxes with hand inlaid Dauphin leather trim. And typical to all Geoffrey Parker luxury games, this one too comes in a wide array of colors. We are told that there are two extra Queens for the serious player.
All pieces have been crafted in sterling silver gilt only to be gold plated later keeping a consistency of 5 microns. We are told that you can also get pieces completely made in 18 carat gold.

Now, we didn’t ever give a thought to a product that will appeal to an F1 fan, a chess lover as well as to a carbon fiber enthusiast at the same time. Cheers to the folks who do. And the very talented F1 designer Dominik Sheurer is one of them. As part of the high-luxe line Carbon Luxury, the man has created a gorgeous chessboard made in carbon fiber with the liberal use of high quality stainless steel and 24 carat gold or sterling silver. Now this is a rare feat because all these high end material are combined normally for motorsports or aerospace only.
Even the chess pieces are styled in a way never-seen-before. The curves are sexy and the lines are modern while maintaining the original aesthetics of the game. Don’t worry; you will not have to unlearn your knowledge of chess in order to play this one.

Royalty in ancient India played a form of Chess called Shatranj. Sadly, all they had was silk cloth board and usual dice. If they knew about the latest artistic investment in the game of Chess, they would have been amazed. For instance, The Art Of War board and dice, designed by Victor F. Scharstein. Imagine rhodium and gold chess pieces dancing at your command on a decked up ebony board.
Every piece is tastefully decorated with diamonds, rubies, emeralds, sapphires and other precious stones. Even the legs of the board are all gold- having eight all gold balls. It will be priced at nearly $50,000. It is said that all other parts of the game such as the lock and the key, the hinges and the handle are made of gold. I can imagine how much motivation a thief will have to break open the lock and get away with it.
My other concern is that of functionality itself. Would not so much of glitter distract the attention away from the game? But may be that is also a positive point if you twist the argument a little.
Now you can call your friends for a game of Chess and win every game as they would be too busy admiring the glitter and gold to play the game seriously, at least the first few times! If, after all my convictions, this game piece does not appeal to you, check out the subtle yet classy transparent chess set here.

With higher standard of living becoming the demand of an hour, there comes a push to replace your current car model with an upcoming one. But have you ever thought about the usage possibility that abandoned model of coupe would have generated? If no then it’s time to take inspiration from Armando Ramirez rather than just allowing them to invite dust on its face. Old car parts can do wonders…Ask Ramirez how? Lately, he has used the junk auto parts to design a designer recycled chess set. Priced at $207.95, each chess set has a customized structure designed using heavy and rustic miscellany of an old car.
The cranium of the bishop pieces are made using NGK and AC DELCO spark plugs with each set having their own entity touches. This green form of entertainment is a reminder to your dead realization that going green is our responsibility. It has an attached rustic pseudo-steampunk feel.
If this is not your taste and you wish to give the due amount of respect to your piled up dough then bring home a diamond edition of chess set or ink a neat deal with transparent chess set.
