The first thing people will say when they hear the news, “Does a charity organization need a $500 million headquarters?” You might debate that all night long and question the decision’s sensibility but we believe that its Bill’s money and he has every right to spend it any way he wants… As simple as that. Now with the morality issue out of the way, what is so special about this building that it will cost Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation a whooping $500 million when Russell Investments paid one-third of that for its 42-story building not very far away from the project location.
Add to that the structure to be constructed is just two six-story, boomerang-shaped buildings on 12 acres near the Seattle Center and you can imagine what the interiors of this expensive real estate might look like.

As high the impact of recession was in the Americas and Europe, the Asian countries were not so seriously affected by the global economic downturn. From this you can safely assume that the luxury market for past few months have been thriving only because of the wealthy Asians who always come forward for a good luxury cause. The Italian fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo has recently launched the Pink Collection to raise funds for breast cancer groups.
Targeted at the richie richs of the Asian world, this one is a limited collection that consists of the Ferragamo signature ballerina shoes embellished with sparkling pink crystals as well as a perfume, a watch, a T-shirt and a canvas tote. The price rangs falls somewhere between $256 and $1,060. Apart from these, you can also pick the best buy, a pair of pink satin sandals with a matching evening clutch which will be auctioned off for charity at a starting bid of $4,240.

Julien’s Auctions promise to get you most of the celebs’ prized stuffs. Excluding the fiasco of the MJ auction cancellation, the organization does have plenty of good work to its credit. And now it is busy organizing a massive auction of the belongings of singer Barbra Streisand. Yep, the diva’s possessions will be made available for sale at a live and online auction at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Cal on October 17th and 18th. And all this is being done for a good cause – to support the Streisand Foundation that the 67-year-old singer established in 1986.
We are informed that over 400 personal belongings of Streisand that shall include Oriental rugs, Arts and Crafts period furniture, Native American baskets, paintings and several photographs will be exhibited.

Tag Heuer indeed has proved to be an inspiration to many others after its grand contribution to the Only Watch Charity Auction to be held in Monaco on 24 September under the patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco. And now it is the turn of Swiss watch maker Frédérique Constant to do his bit.
We are told that the brand has given offered the very feminine Heart Beat Trilogy which apparently have been designed by women for women. This one is really a set of three watches that also includes a bracelet sitting pretty in an exquisite jewelry box.

It all goes into the elements one day! Such is life that all must meet the same fate. Brand Bugatti learnt it recently when a group of lucky divers from the Swiss city of Ascona got lucky when on a regular swim in the Verbano Lake a few day ago. Well as it turned out, the divers came across a real treasure in the form of the 1925 Brescia Bugatti which they found sitting at the bottom of the lake.
On researching, it was discovered that the vintage Bugatti had been lying in the water for over 70 years now. So, you can well imagine the condition that this now dilapidated dream machine must have been in.
