Carey Lyn is an Industrial Designer based in Los Angeles. She recently revealed to us information about her amazing “Suspend” chair. It is a mono-tube bent chair that is constructed out of super materials around a tube, ands behaves like a hammock. Thanks to a powder coated aluminium tube, it lasts longer.

It even comes with a black suede seat and you could reverse that to show orange. She is also willing to change the design a bit in order to make her consumers happy. It comes with great angled legs which make it one of the greatest looking chairs that I have come across. The chair is expected to cost $1,190 and could just be what you wanted to buy a long time ago.

The chair is exceptionally sleek and glamorous. You could use it in the balcony or even in the living room and wherever you keep it you are bound to get a lot of admiring looks. What you need more than the chair is a great collection of books so that when you buy the Suspend chair, you will have enough things to do there. The chair can actually be quite addicting for it behaves like a hammock.

Studded with over 222 diamonds on a backdrop of crocodile leather, this regal masterpiece stands out in terms of performance and in terms of looks. The castor supports, the arm rests and the tension supports are all plated with 24k gold. The emeralds and the diamonds encrusted on the arm rests will always remind you that you are the king of your office!

That’s not it; it has a multi-block tilting mechanism with 5 locking positions which makes sure that you get the maximum comfort. The steel frame, elastic mesh, back rest padded in polyurethane foam, speaks a lot about its strength.

These chairs were released back in 2008, but couldn’t make a mark. So, Pietro Lovato revved up the style and elegance quotient and launched them again in the year 2010. Priced at $273,080 (200,000 euros) they still remain as a prerogative of the affluent.

There is nothing better than a cheerfully painted chair during these cold wintry months when all you would want to do is sit in a place wearing warm clothes. If you have a garden in your house, you could place the chair in a good location and enjoy the mist, the chill and the beauty of the winter before it gets too cold and stars to snow.

The Radiator Chair by Jeroen Wesselink is an attractive piece of furniture that I would certainly recommend try getting. Painted bright yellow it was bui9lt from scratch using the radiator and the guy even has uploaded a video which makes it super cool to try doing it yourself at home.

If you are good at carpentry and other such manly stuff, you could try and build something like this cool chair yourself. I would say the chair is slightly small for two people to sit and hence you would need to get at least two of this amazing chair. Furniture has never been associated with bright colours traditionally but designs such as this makes it all the more cool to buy brightly coloured furniture. Unlike the popular belief, recycling can be a whole bagful of fun. In fact, lately we have come across several examples of recycling that burst the bubble of the aforementioned myth. Take the case of classic Vespa scooters for example. We have witnessed how the scraps of old autombiles have been used to contribute majorly to a green lifestyle. In fact, recycled bike furniture as well as the reuse of aircraft parts to make real stylish chairs and tables have all been greatly appreciated.

Well, this furniture range just got wider with the vintage Vespa scooters adding their own special charm. The Spanish design studio, Bel & Bel has taken up the task of converting the discarded Vespa scooters and into real cool office furniture.

That is not all. The design team has lent the handmade upholstered chairs a whole range of colors to gel with your office decor. Apart from the chairs, one can also get these unqiue scultpure models that let’s say combine the scooter handle and lower body of a mannequin. It does sound a bit crazy but it sure looks quirky and good.

Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies wanted to create something that was both snazzy and multi-dimensional in its use. In a world that is progressively becoming more and more obsessed with multi-tasking, ZIG is a design that fits in perfectly. Crafted by designer Catherine Worsham, this is one ultra-cool and modern home and office accessory that can be used as edge fencing and a bike rack, apart from being used as a bench. Though it would not offer you the same comfort of a traditional bench, this more than makes up for it by serving in a multitude of ways.

The design is sleek and ergonomic; ensuring that ZIG easily fits into any modern space. It is easy to carry around and its geometric uniqueness adds to the beauty of the room. ZIG is a tessellating pattern cut out of steel with laser cutting technology and with the option of availability is any size that is requested by the consumer, it not just offers new choices in shape, design and pattern, but also in size.

French furniture is known for its woody charm and rustic elegance. If you know about French culture, you would know how important Yves Saint Laurent’s place is, in French culture. An iconic chair owned by this great maestro was auctioned off at the Christie’s in Paris. Would you guess how much it garnered in the auction? An amazing $28 million. This is apparently the most expensive 20th century design ever.

It was designed by Eileen Gray who was a French artist during 1917 and 1919. It comes with beautiful brown leather and sculpted wooden frame which would look perfect in a French Chateau in the middle of Burgundy. In fact, imagine the situation of sitting on this chair, surrounded by French paintings, and some lovely chansons.

Next you would dig into some of the choicest fondue and wine while fire crackles in front of you. I would love to have one of these at any cost and it is a shame I can’t afford it.

The yearly Kips Bay Decorator Show House started in New York on 24 April and will run through 22 May. To my utter surprise, around 22 designers would be using this as a platform and are provided with six apartments at The Manhattan House, 200 East 66th Street to participate in the Kips Bay Decorator Show House. For the first time in the history of 36 years, the show is being held in an apartment building rather than a town house. In coming days I would be updating you with designer credits. Tickets for the show would cost you $30.

An Audi-design prototype chandelier hangs above a table in the Daniel Boulud kitchen. Also, the artwork of Caceres + Miranda designed by Geoffrey Bradfield is quite interesting. Simon Horn crib, configured here for a toddler, sits on display in a children’s room designed by Bograd Kids. A teak torso of drawers with superimposed silver breeds luxury. The BKH-designed living rooms, modern furniture, including a Vladimir Kagan sofa are amongst the attraction of the Show House.

The wavering 60’s chicks room, designed by Ellen Ward Scarborough Ltd. Is mind blowing. Sculpture by Jean Arp (R) features well in a therapist’s room designed by S. Russell Groves. Another elite attraction was chairs designed by Stephen Miller Siegel which have upholstered in horsehair fabric. Lastly, a bedroom suite designed by White Webb is worth a pick.
