Ellemme has got together with Sand & Birch to design a new wine cellar concept that is being celebrated as the Winebag Collection. This one has been designed so that it has both functional qualities as well as aesthetic delight. As typical to designs by Ellemme, this one too has been created by combining the best from ancient handicraft with the latest, most innovative production technique.
Especially crafted to be fitted in a hotel room or resort, or even a luxury home front, the Winebag has enough room to store 18 bottles. Oak lamination keeps the doors attractive while the special anti UV rays double glass helps protect the wine from light rays. We are told that the standard version comes in white or black lacquer, but if you do not like those you can try out the deLuxe version that has been covered with fine quality leather but it stores only 8 bottles.

Passionate collectors of wine will appreciate this! The focus of our attention this time is a cool new wine storage system by the founder of the Revel Custom Wine Cellars, Jim Cash. Apparently, the man was just so uninspired by the traditional cork systems that he thought of a wine keeping system that is centered around the wine and not the rack.
Called the Revel Cellar, it has several units in the form of sliding drawers to hold multiple bottles. And this is gives us a clear view of the wine we need without distrubing the others. You really dont have to removed each and every bottle before getting to your desired bittle.

Trapdoors in kitchen floors usually lead to secret hiding places for the antihero to hide in from the army, or it may lead up and down a tumbling pathway of cold and hard cut stones to the butt of an ugly witch’s statue inside a school of magic. Never would we think that they would lead to a wine cellar.
And what a wine cellar! The spiral Wine cellar was designed in 1978 by a Frenchman who saw the need for wine cellars in modern houses. The spiral cellar is dug into the floor with a concrete plus watertight lining. The temperature is kept at a constant 55 degrees, considered as ideal for wines, by the depth of the cellar and passive ventilation established through a pipe running the height of the cellar which keeps warm air flowing in. Depending upon the size of the cellar, it can hold 1000-1600 bottles. (Check out the amazing pics after the jump).
