This time around too, newsmaker revellers can look forward to some star studded fun. For, a host of celebrities are expected to attend Hefner’s ultra exclusive bash.

Keeping in sync with the high profile nature of the event, party goers who wish to take part must sign a confidentiality agreement. And as one would expect for events of this sort, tickets to the new year eve party sky-rocket at not less than $ 4,900 per individual.

A few days back, Hefner, the Playboy hot-shot was praised by hottie Pamela Anderson who said she in fact felt he was a supporter of women! The 44 year old star had bared all for Playboy mag at the age of 22.

The brand Lancome apparently conferred its ambassadress title on the star in its impeccable style of getting Hollywood hotties to endorse its beauty enhancement products. Be prepared to spot Julia Roberts on the perfume brand shelves rather soon. Kate Winslet, Anne Hathaway and Isabella Rossellini are some of the stars who endorsed Lancome products in the past. Lancome International officials said the personality and values of actress Julia Roberts matched the brand’s own values.

No word is out however, about the exact pay cheque the Pretty Woman actress gets to promote Lancome products, or her contract length, duties, etc.

At the moment, Julia Roberts has a couple of projects in their post production stage. Eat, Pray, Love and Valentine’s Day are the projects that she is part of.

Being part of cosmetic campaigns is nothing new for actors and actresses. The trend began early in 2001. A slew of Hollywood actresses such as Jennifer Lopez, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Penelope Cruz have promoted beauty and skin whitening products.

While Michael Jackson died a horrible death aggravated by ill health and controversies, he is still hounded by the media relentlessly. The blogosphere and the Internet are abounding with stories about how he led an extravagant lifestyle and how it should matter to the rest of them that he liked to live luxuriously.

Several prominent luxury blogs that we would not like to name have also spoken about the supposed luxuries and spoils he has in his Neverland Ranch, and also surprisingly, his Holmby Hills Estate which is very close to the Playboy Mansion and Beverly Hills. Apparently, he had stuffed the house with over the top audio systems and home theatre system from DSI Entertainment.  Crestron control system, Marantz electronics, M&K speakers and Lutron lighting control are some of the other luxuries he indulged in, if we must go by the way media goes.

Yes, jewelry designer and the brain behind the little endeavor, Robyn Rhodes has asked all the actively participating celebs to design their own jewelry which they will wear on the red carpet. This jewelry will be later sold in the auction.

The unique contribution was supported with a lot of zest and enthusiasm by the likes of Amy Adams, Steve Carell, Ricky Gervais, Goldie Hawn, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Reese Witherspoon among many other prominent names.

Oscar winner Kate Winslet too is a contributing. She has designed a gorgeous ‘Y’ shaped necklace (shown in the picture above) with purple red quartz drops with hand wired tops. The estimated price of this piece of jewelry is $1,000-$2,000. All proceeds go to Cardboard Citizens. The auction also includes signed posters, shoes and purses, each embellished with a celebrity ‘kiss’ and autograph.
