Its latest venture goes by the name of Eyewear 2010. And as the name suggests, this one is a collection of some spectacular designs of sunglasses and fashionable eyewear. Like its previous products, the new feat too is remarkable for its embodiment of Italian design, technology and high quality.
There are eighteen models for one to pick his or her favorite from. Each of these goggles draw their inspiration from the lines and details of the signature car style of the brand. All the eyewear models are rather sporty and macho at the same time. Quite a good combo, if you ask us, and definitely, not one to be missed!

Aston Martin is here to play with your imagination. Those times have gone by when the famous car maker would busy itself in designing A-class cars only. As of today, it occasionally does enjoy dabbling into creating other luxury stuffs too that car enthusiasts everywhere would heartily appreciate. The DBR1/2 Essence of Form Cufflinks falls in the same category.

These extremely suave and stylish pair of accessories for men depict an exceptional design of a sportscar complete with a driver sitting in. The car in question is the iconic 1950’s DBR1 sports racing car that has been crafted from none other than the original redundant aluminum body panel pieces from DBR1/2 as ‘donor metal’ (yep, that’s the latest trend in the auto world nowadays).

Aston Martin has decided to produce two editions of these very exclusive cuffs, each depicting a different sculpted version of the glam car. There will only be 50 units available in the market, each bearing a price tag of $4,000. Accompanying the cuffs will be certificated signed by Carroll Shelby. So, what are you waiting for? Va va vroooooooooooom!

I had never wanted a car that looked ordinary and dull. I always wanted something that was out of the ordinary and something that stood out from the rest. At the same, I am very particular about cars that save energy and that which are not gulping down gallons of crude oil.

If this is how you think as well, you might like the concept BMW Lovos (Lifestyle of Voluntary Simplicity) which has been the work of BMW and Anne Forschner, a student at the German Pforzheim University. The concept comes with scale shaped solar panels that make your car look like a futuristic dinosaur and also see all the reflective solar light and convert that into energy.

The scales can be opened and closed just like fish scales and you could expect the car to look really cool. I would so love to get a piece of this car, only if it is manufactured in real. Most of the times, great cars are never available in the market because most of them end up being just concepts without ever seeing the light of the day. If you would like to drive a car like this, I would say you will have to mod an existing car with solar panels that look like scales.

Design Boom organized the Green Life Competition in Incheon, Korea in collaboration with 3709 designers from 96 different countries. While there were several cool designs in the competition list, one that caught our fancy and also the one that received about 1171 votes was the “Shelf” designed by Leon Zhu from China.

The Shelf is a device that can be attached to the back of the car and when your car is parked or when there is a lot of sunlight, you could cover your car and protect it from harsh sunlight. Moreover, the Shelf converts the solar energy into usable electricity that can be used to power the Air Conditioner in your car. It can also be used as a rear wing so that you get a lot of stability while driving at breakneck speeds.

It can also provide energy for other devices such as tail light and electronic equipment. I would have loved to get it for myself, but unfortunately it might not be available in the markets as it is not released to the retail market. Thanks to the solar cell board, it is one of the greenest devices around. Just keep your eyes open for a device like this.

There are many things in life that I do not like. One of those is the tiny car. A car is supposed to look like a car and not a toy. Not only do small cars turn me off, but they annoy me to the car. Many people share my views as well. However, the large majority seems to think that they look cute and attractive and Peugeot seems to be thinking on those lines as well.

They have launched their new electric car dubbed the BB1 which can seat 4 people if they are all shoved inside. It is apparently half way between a car and a scooter. The BB1 is an electric car that runs on green fuel apparently. While all that sounds nice I would have just wished to see a car that comes with enough space for your 3 other friends while you drive.

At least, the backseat must have enough space to get naughty if you went out with your man. Shouldn’t it? There is no information about its price or availability but I am sure such small cars would soon enter the market to depress me further. Of well, this car is on the luxury blog because most people would think this is chic, and also EVs are usually damn expensive.

Take Bentley for instance, that has just released its new selection of child seats that go pretty well with the Flying ‘B’. Well, the colors of the seat are the same as the rest of the car interior, hand-stitching included.

So you get a very bright combination of black and red that not only keeps your child safe and comfy but looks good too. We are quite glad to see this product by Bentley for most of the brand’s, and its peers’, creations are meant for the grown up world only. Not many think of the young turks that we want to pass the car-lover bloodline to.

Again, Bentley has not only created a very smart design solution but also lets luxury take a front seat. Now, parents can get their child’s name embroidered on the seat back beneath the Bentely wings. Equipped with such gear, we think you can be quite sure that your li’l one will take on the car-frenzy quite early in life!

This favorite leisure activity will be referred to as gaming on the move. We don’t mean figuratively but literally so! Garnet Hertz has created what he likes to call the OutRun project. And this unique gaming system has successfully combined the real world with Sega’s seminal racing game. This is achieved by simply converting the 1986 sit-down arcade cabinet into a rather small but drivable car. Believe it or not, but this car can reach a speed of 20 miles per hour.

A li’l birdie told us that this arcade machine has been greatly inspired by the 1984 Ferrari Testarossa. And the quite evident stamp can be seen in the wheels, motors and equipment like the GPS sensors that help run the cabinet like an actual car. You get updates on-screen.

Garnet is planning to equip this wonder gaming machine with all the necessary gears and stuff but before he does that, several test drives are underway to make sure that it is a perfectly safe concept. All the best to this inventor on his safeguarding mission and we sure are waiting with bated breath to lay our hands on the OutRun project for real.

Hear hear, Volvos might not just only be boxy anymore. The new 2010 Volvo S60 is the newest answer from Sweden to all the much respected likes of BMW 3 Series and Audi A4. It was almost a year ago that the S60 Concept was first previewed in Detriot, and now the production version of the same will be unveiled with a lot of pomp and show at the forthcoming Geneva Motor Show (scheduled for March).

But that is not reason for us to dampen our spirits. The automaker has unveiled a series of pictures in a delicous shade of copper-bronze to keep our imaginations going wild.

This luxury sedan comes equipped with Volvo’s impressive and latest safety technology that also includes a new Pedestrian Detection system that can stop the car from low speeds too. This feature shall come handy if someone jumps out in the front. The panoramic glass roof also has matching ’suicide’ rear doors to go with. The swoopy styling of the car is an instant hit. We are dying to hear more so that we can share more. Read on.

If you always found it difficult to get inside cars when it was raining, it was perhaps because there would be a car behind you constantly honking or the rain was making you feel miserable. Hence, presuming you hire taxis, it would be awesome if Daihatsu’s quirky-looking DecaDeca concept is used as taxis in our cities.

The car comes with amazing doors that can be slid easily and pushed back and forth. The low level entrance makes it easier to get in and the interiors are just awesome. Of course, this car is not entirely meant for being used as a taxi, but no one would want to own this car which does not look that great. However, to be used as a taxi, it really is an amazing design.

Daihatsu’s quirky-looking DecaDeca concept is not yet going to be manufactured and it might take a while before any such decision is made. If the taxi operators contact the company, they might be able to manufacture the cars on a larger scale. Moreover, the car is quite low on emissions and is thus great to be used as public transportation in big cities. So go ahead and pester your authorities!

Unfortunately, it is still a concept and it might take a while for us to know if this car is ever going to hit the markets.
