Aeroplanes are always a fascination. And so are products made from their parts. Products manufactured from parts of those flying metal birds always find their share of passionate fans. The name says it all. It is made from genuine cowling that once formed the covering of Pratt and Whitney jet engine of a Boeing 747. If you can’t take the noxious fumes of a city after alighting from a plane, stay in the plane instead! The Stockholm-Arlanda airport will now feature a hostel on wings of sort. The hostel is nothing but a Boeing 747 from 1976 which has about 25 rooms after being converted into a grounded hostel. This apparently is also the world’s first hostel and comes with original engines that mesmerize any guest.
The flight deck now doubles up as a private suite and there also is a lounge and cafe for those who need some kind of refreshments and relaxation. A night ion the hostel is not exactly like staying in a YMCA funded hostel. A night in the Jumbo Hostel will set you back by $170.
