Barbie is one babe who has it all — a great figure, designer clothes, a dream house, good friends and the envy coupled with love of so many girls out there. What the pretty doll of a bomshell hasn’t been able to achieve is the love of the masculine gender except when the guys were to compare their girlfriends with her (and that is a different issue altogether). So French designer Chloe Ruchon set about to change things a little bit with the creation of Barbiefoot.
Traditionally called, ‘Babyfoot’ in FRnahce, this is a pink table that combines the dream doll with table football. Doing so wasn’t easy but the partnership with Mattel brands was a great support for the designer. Then again, how can just about anything related to Barbie can go wrong?

Brand Fiat is busy creating special cars these days. Some time back, we told you about the green version the car brand has created in cooperation with Diesel for the Cannes Film Festival auction for AIDS charity. This was nothing new because just a few months before, Fiat had presented a new 500 model to celebrate Barbie’s 50th birthday in collaboration with Mattel, of course. Well as expected, the car’s gorgeous and finally we have got some more dope to share on this one.
And with more info, the car has started to look even sexier. The deep lacquer finish in a slightly darker shade of Barbie’s signature pink looks stunning. Thank heavens, they chose not to make it in Barbie pink because as sexy as the color looks on the doll it would have looked quite vulgar on a car.

We think no celebrity has turned 50 with so much fanfare. Plus, she doesn’t look any older than she used to back in 1959. On top of that, she has the unique ability to be anything from a mermaid to a doctor. That is the magic of Barbie doll. The most popular toy ever, she has turned 50 this year. Cartoon channels have dedicated themselves to making Barbie movies. Folks have created gorgeous books in her honor.
Not just that, many designers have been busy outfitting her in one eye-catching garment after another. Even the famous brand Maison Goyard is celebrating the world’s favorite doll’s birthday. Well, they have created a limited edition trunk in the signature Barbie color- pastel pink.

Back in 1959, Barbie arrived to take the world head on and has become a cult symbol today. This cultural and style icon has survived criticisms, wars, economic downturns and is truly a survivor. At about 50 now, Barbie is strong as ever and more in demand evermore.
In order to celebrate her 50th anniversary, the Assouline Ultimate Collection has been launched and it will surely be a great book with great pictures. Even today, every second three Barbie dolls are sold. The numbers are only phenomenal. If you had ever bought a doll, a Barbie in particular, you definitely must buy this book, which costs $500.
