Wars have always taken lives of many innocent men, women and children. The instruments of wars have always been men too, and these foot soldiers and the cavaliers or the horse riders bore the brunt of violence more than the civilians. During the World War I most men sent to fight wars died almost within a week of joining the army in the trenches. Many Australians too fought in the war, and thousands of Australian youth were sent to European trenches where they died within weeks of arrival.

The novel “Fly Away Peter” is a tale that follows the life of Jim, an ornithologist who goes to fight in the World War I in France. He dies. Alan Somerville is an Australian sculptor who has created the Light Horse Soldier sculpture in bronze. These horsemen from Australia fought in the Middle East as well, where they died of exhaustion and violence.

This sculpture reminds you of the futility of war and he thousands of innocent men who died in the name of valour and patriotism. Unfortunately, they were all pawns under corrupt lieutenants and politicians who waged wars insanely for no reason and sacrificed the lives of millions of young soldiers. You could buy the Bronze Light Horse Soldier for $15,500.

Antique collectors, may we have your attention please? We just came across this bit of news which might just add some excitement to your lives that forever wait for some gorgeous piece to add to your collection. Hyde Park Antiques in New York is selling a pair of exquisite Regency rosewood and Parcel Gilt game tables. And when we say ‘exquisite’ we totally mean ‘exquisite’!

Each of these tables have a rectangular top that has been lined with leather to make for a real classy gaming surface. We are quite taken up by the boldly craved acanthus edges that yell royal luxury in your face, and tell you very frankly, no one seems to mind it. And then there is a peneled frieze set between the foliate-carved corbels.

The square structure has quite a strong support from its base that has foliate scrolls applied with rosettes all over the quadripatite plinth base on gilt foliate-scroll that form the feet. The price tag is huge at $80,000. Even if you are not much into games, this one will be a great addition to your home deor. The dimensions are 28.5″ h x 18″ d x 36″ l.

If you are one of those with a discering eye for antiques then one look at the Mosquée desk and chair will tell you what a priceless beauty you are staring at. This one is a splendid combo furniture unit designed by Carlo Bugatti who was a big name in 19th century, and in all fairness, still is even today!

Dating back to 1890, the desk and chair are in a surprisingly good condition and have been put up for sale by Sebstian Barquet. We are informed that these beauties have been made from walnut, ebonized walnut, parchment, copper, metal inlay, pewter and silk. The combination of all these luxury ingredients is unimaginiable to this day. We seriously wonder how Bugatti was able to put it all together.

The splendid craftsmanship of the creator gets reflected in the intricate detailing all over the chair and the table. Truly a collector’s item, Mosquée hair and desk is expected to fetch $100,000. Now that price bracket would be most bizarre for the antique illiterates but those who realise the actual worth of this historical furniture unit combination will know that it priceless!

Tsiolovskii was a Russian space scientist who was known for his early theories of human space travel and his theories about rocket propulsion and other such things led to the Soviet Space Programs. He worked anonymously and did not seek any fame, in spite of being the man behind everything that had to do with Soviet Space Agency.

In fact, the guy is so popular that the space ship in Star Trek: The Next Generation has his name on it. Here are a collection of antique booklets which are either slightly damaged or worn off, and they are good space antique pieces which would fetch a lot of money. You could buy these booklets for a price of $1,750 and it would be delivered to you via Shipping at an extra cost.

The booklets come with original grey wrappers and there are sticker residues on the wrappers. These booklets contain some vital Space Exploration themes and stories. All the booklets come with original wrappers and of course, ancient dust. These booklets could be a great investment for you, if you are well versed in the field of antiques. The books are from the 1920s.

Antilles Seaplanes G-21 Super Goose is an amazing rich kid’s toy that could send him or her flying into the air. Of course, it is not literally a toy and is a propah high flying plane. It can not only fly in the air but can also navigate through the sea and is the remake of Grumman Goose.

The Grumman Goose carried people like Hemingway and MacArthur many decades ago. It uses the same design and plan but only the technology belongs to the 21st century. It doesn’t matter where you wanna go, you could fly this plane. The Antilles Seaplanes G-21 Super Goose could be used in icy waters and also in blazing sun and hence it all depends on you in the end.

The cool Super Goose is not yet available and it is not known how much it might cost. It would be anything but cheap, trust me. However, you really should not be caring about cash when it comes to something awesome like Antilles Seaplanes G-21 Super Goose.

Rizk Auto in Phoenix, Arizona know the value of vintage cars and the superiority of the modern technology. Thus, they have recreated the classic 1957 Aston Martin DBR2 with state of the art Formula One technology. It can be custom ordered, if you are i9nterested and the thing that I like about it is that it is lightweight and rigid.

You could choose engines from Jaguar or a Corvette LS3 V8. If you would like to know how much it might cost, it is actually not known yet. However, it would be useful for y9ou to keep in mind that such ostentatious luxury usually comes at an astronomical price. Vintage cars have the appeal of an ageing Hollywood star who only would have matured like wine.

Take for example Marlon Brando, and we all know how one would die for him, though he shone in an era unknown to most of us. The classic 1957 Aston Martin DBR2 was seen in many old Hollywood movies, and many hot star has ridden the car. Won’t you be the next one to drive it?

If you are the kind of person who would like to collect things related to human and animal histories, you would most certainly be interested in bones, art, fossils and the like. Here is a diamond which apparently came to earth when a meteor struck our planet long time ago. This was when South America and Africa were connected to each other. The diamond is being sold at $2,100 and is a Carbonado rough diamond.

This discovery further supports the idea and belief that carbonados are from outer space. While the mysteries get solved by modern science, you can buy this lovely piece of diamond for yourself and for your family as a heirloom. You could also buy it as an investment as many decades later people would offer millions just to be able to take it back to the lab and conduct one of those scientific studies.

You can even wear it as a pendant, if you can. I would love to get this for myself but it is too expensive for my budget. The diamond looks almost like a piece of charcoal and that is how carbonado looks in the pure form. The raw and rare beauty of these diamonds rocks.

Moulton B. Taylor in 1949 created the world’s first Aerocar and after that some were created in 1956. It is a transformer and can be used as both a plane and a car. He had paid $150,000 21 years ago and now can fetch up to $1 million if he decides to sell it.

However, the guy plans to keep it as a family treasure and would not sell it for anything. It can reach speeds of 60 mph and when it is flying it can reach speeds of 150 mph. You would never be able to buy this awesome flying car and thus proves the theory that money cannot buy everything in life.

I am sure you would be greatly disappointed but like certain mental mental states, certain material goods can’t be bought with money either. You could try and build one yourself instead, if you are weird enough to do that.

You might have been missing those good old days when the razors were heavy and came with ornate engraving in them. These days, razors are all made of plastic and they do not really have that manly touch to the. In fact it is difficult to distinguish between a man’s razor and a woman’s razor.

Nevertheless, the C.O. Bigelow razors have been made for men who are classy and who have face that can kill women. These razors are made from imitation ivory and ebony. Only imitation ivory has been used in order to discourage poaching of Elephants in countries like India where animals do not have any rights.

However, these old fashioned razors also can take in Gillette Mach 3 blades, which means they are quite sophisticated themselves. Each razor costs between $49 and $79. It is time you got yourself a hot and sexy razor like this.

If you are a serious vintage aircraft collector, even the current slump times should not deter you. While the number of collector items and curios of different kinds are available for asking still, another reason to cheer for a collectible is that Classic Aero Restorations has just restored a Hawker Hurricane Mk IIB circa 1940.

It belongs to the illustrious Hurricane series of single seater fighter aircraft flown by the Royal Air Force of Britain during their historical battle of Britain. Way back then, aeronautical engineer Sydney Camm had designed these aircraft which because of their low maintenance, long life and rugged build, were a favoured lot. On its website, Classic Aero Restorations says that at the moment, only seven flying Hurricanes are known to exist.

The air cruising speed of these aircraft is 325 miles per hour and can fly at a height of 36,000 feet. In the face of flak and some demands to keep the aircraft instead of throwing them away, the firm has restored them to a good flying state. Alongside, Classic Aero Restorations will also sell Spitfire T9 from 144 from the series.
