geist_projector Levitating Projector: A Interesting Concept but a Skeptics Joy

Projectors are usually stationary and the images that are projected tend to remain consistent in a particular angle. Though this might help in watching a program consistently without any disturbances, it also makes watching multiple images from different angles impossible.

The Levitating Projector is a scientific concept which is based on several micro-projectors that looks like a floating ball thanks to the electromagnetic base which causes the ball to be suspended. These micro projectors in the form of a levitating or raised ball allow you to watch different programs on different walls. This may be an interesting concept but many people may not like the idea of watching two different programs at the same time for that makes no sense.

If you have been a constant watcher of Baywatch, you would know how important timely action really is. Unfortunately, things aren’t so easy for lifeguards and reality is tougher than the glossy images you would see on the TV Show.

Edward Shelton has designed the Amphibian, which is a two part system aimed at helping lifeguards better approach the task of saving human lives at the beach. The design employs the idea of comfortable walking shoes and slip on retractable swim fins. It is aimed at making the lifeguard’s task of walking on the beach and getting into the water and swimming easy.

bubble-tree-1 Bubble Tree: An Exotic Way to Experience Nature

Living in modern cities have forced us to be cut off from nature and that is exactly why we respect nature so much lesser. If only we appreciated the beauty of greenery and forests we might have actually learned to take care of nature more.

The BubbleTree is a unique fort that comes with a small wooden platform and that which can be covered with a canvas sphere at night. It is perfect for those who would love to stay amidst nature to listen to the birds chirp and to listen to the gurgling of rivers. Extra Terrestrial Car for the Uber Rich

2zspaie Extra Terrestrial Car for the Uber Rich

The Extra-Terrestrial Vehicle is a futuristic car built by Mike Vetter and his company The Car Factory which has been based in Florida. He could have come up with more creative names for both his company and the car I should say.

The ETV car has a Chevrolet Aveo within it and it certainly looks quite futuristic. There is no information about the ETV except that it costs $86,000. Now that is a lot of money for a car that just looks cool. I don’t think even cool SUVs cost so much. If you are crazy enough for all things science fiction, perhaps you should go get this car for yourself.

One could see a number of designs at the Beach&Pool 2008/09 design competition. So much so that I just can’t believe at the number of cool designs one can come across in that place. There was this awesome hi-tech lounger called S3 by Design Institution which comes with 3 awesome positions to relax.

It comes with an automatic mechanism which follows the sun much like a sunflower does. If you think the sun is getting a little too much you could switch on the automatic waterdrop spray and you will feel all chilled and cool, if you fall asleep.

Sometimes we get a feeling that a fresh outlook is needed for the modern decor that is becoming just a wee bit boring nowadays. The same lines, the same patterns and even the same designs seem to reflect the stagnation that has come over the decor that once we all were so proud of owning. Thanks to designer Giuliano Giaroli, things might be looking up. He has gone on to create classy G-one white kitchens for the Italian company Schiffini.

The concept kitchen beautifully blends the basic kitchen ideal with the touch of the modern, but with a difference. The clean lines are very much there but with a spalsh of color thrown in that offers respite from an overdose of grays and whites. The vibrant orange thrown in gives the modern decor a new lease at life

Rwanda is a country that has seen it all. It is at these luxurious places like our blog that we must understand that we have more to give than we admit. We spend so much on luxurious products, but pretend we do not have the money to donate to poor people in Africa. Vision Division architects have designed the Umbrella Children’s Hospital Project which looks like an upside down umbrella that collects rainwater.

It collects dew and rainwater which provide clean and safe drinking water. The roof or the umbrella is meant to finally act as a roof for all the modern technological changes that could occur in the hospital. Moreover, it runs on solar energy. The roof would reach its life cycle in about 5 stages or phases.

While Americans have begun to use cars more than ever, here is a new design by the students of MIT which might change that very ‘ungreen’ habit of people to use cars and avoid public transportation. The students have designed the EyeStop which is an amazingly chic bus stop that is aimed at getting the Americans back at the bus stops.
