Just one look at Chef Pierre Negreverne’s “2″ Wine collection and you will definitely be in love. This very stylish liquor collection has been designed by French ideator K:-hossi Aguessy who is well known for extending a simple elegance to all his delicious cuisines. And now his wine too is being regarded as a ’simple and up to the purpose wine’.
We are told that Aguessy had been breeding this vintage guard wine with a lot of care and hardwork for about six months now. The result? Well, the alcohol earned itself the rich aromas of raspberry mixed with a heady dose of cherries that complement the pretty deep hint of cinnamon. Wow, now that is one concoction we’d love to spend our saturday evenings sipping on.

The world knows the name Akvinta as the first Mediterranean luxury vodka across the globe. Last year, Europe was lucky enough to dip into this high quality spirit and now it is the time for US to do so. The buzz tells us that the brand has just entered the New York, New Jersey and California markets. The Croatian liquor got its official launch in America at the recent Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. As a matter of fact, Virgin Atlantic Airlines is also happily serving it on board as well as in their Upper Class Clubhouse at JFK airport and at Nobu in NY and Cal.
So much about the brouhaha this vodka is creating. Let us tell you what makes it super-premium. Well, it has the USDA stamping for organic spirit as it has been very carefully made from the best ingredients that include 100% organic wheat alcohol from Italy and pure Dalmatian spring water. It carries no additives.

Would you like to “put a beast in your belly”? If you are not scared by this tagline, then you might just be brave enough to actually sip on a new liquor available in the market, The Kraken Black Spiced Rum and it borrows its name from the legendary tentacled beast of the sea. Frankly, we really doubt the presence of the animal inside this high quality spirit but you never know (just kidding)! We are informed that a secret blend of 13 spices were mixed and a dark black color reminding the maker of the giant squid’s ink was obtained, and so the name.
The rum has been distilled in Trinidad and Tobago and it impresses with the Kraken’s legendary strength which is 94 proof. Plus it has been bottled very stylishly too. The maker has kept the whole aura very gothic. A simple glass bottle adorns a white wrap that carries the name of the rum as well as a picture of the Kraken creature in black ink. One look at it and you will get a sense of drinking something that does not belong to the present times.

Serious collectors of fine spirits fall short of nothing when it comes to adding something super quality to their collection. In that case, how do £10,000 for a bottle of whiskey sound to you? Insane? No, not really. The latest offering from The Dalmore distillery in Scotland is being celebrated as worth every bit of that huge figure. Dubbed The Sirius Vintage, this whiskey has been maturing since 1951 and this fact makes it the oldest, finest and rarest whiskey available in the world.
On top of all this, Dalmore is not sparing anything to further add to its magic. Apparently, only 12 bottles of this very exclusive single malt scotch will be made available at the duty free stores at the major airports across the globe.

It is always a challenge coming up with a sequel. But not for Bowmore. This maker of full-bodied scotches has spent 45 years trying to avoid the unfortunate trend. They came up with the Black Bowmore in 2007 and folloed it with the White Bowmore in 2008. And now, they are all set to complete the spirited trilogy with the Gold Bowmore.
This high quality scotch was distilled on November 5, 1964 and was left to mature in three bourbon casks and one Oloroso sherry cask, neatly tucked below sea level. Once all the final products were mixed, the Oloroso cask’s sherry and walnut flavors found their way into this heady mix, also lending it a darker, reddish, amber-like tint.

How does a bottle of real expensive champagne packed in with a shoe sound to you? We dunno about the men but we are quite sure that the womenfolk will welcome this rather unique marketing idea. Champagne makers Piper Heisieck have teamed up with famous and much celebrated shoe maker Christian Loubotin to create a new and unique offering to their loyals and build a new following too.
The box set is called Le Rituel. It packs in a bottle of a high quality champagne along with a very elegant glass shoe that comes from Louboutin’s workshop. We are told that this little feat is inspired by an 1880 ritual when a sleek glass shoe made for a curious piece of your interior deco. So you too can show off your designer shoe on your mantlepiece though we think it will look best on your bar.

A beer dispenser that floors you with looks! Kegerators, aka beer dispensers designed by Craig Jones are examples of whacky brainwork in design. What’s more. They double up for superb ideas to recycle anything old! They are remodelled refrigerators and resemble your coffee dispensers at the workplace. Aptly called Craigerators, they come in fiery reds and cool blues with jazzy designs, enough to rock any party.
The iPod Kegerator by Craig Jones, named Fire and Ice, for instance, has a Bose Speaker dock in the front door. It also has neon lights at its bottom. The overflow from the tap goes back into the Kegerator door to keep it from spilling on the mug.
There are other designs too, like the Raidator with its silver and black finish, Woody with a staid pale blue and wood finish, the Devil May Care and Hardcore kegerators with the red and black combination! To top the whacky names list, is Bone Box, replete with a danger sign, though it spills only beer, not blood.
Out-of-box designs are expensive, just as ideas. So Craigators could cost you as much as a car. Not a big deal if you’re pockets are deep.
