The recession might have activated a slowdown in the designer watches market but it could not do anything to dampen the spirits of Christophe Golay. Well, this brand believes that there will always be buyers for ultra-luxury items whether financial hard times or not. In fact, it was with this optimism that it just launched a $350,000 worth super-end timepiece in the U.S markets.
This new range of real stylish and rather extravagant watches comes from Cephee (that’s the name of the product line) and display the finest of Swiss craftsmanship and technology. Among the first ones to be introduced under the new Cephee tag, the watch is called ‘Ether’.

The collection has oversized rings, necklaces, gorgeous clutches and evening bags.
Swarovski’s latest innovation, is the Pointiage® technique, involves a method of hand-setting, enhances the crystal and illuminates its sparkle. Celebrity, Precious and Star rings by Swarovski are examples of this technique. Besides the anniversary collection, are old stones that you could find on several Swarovski necklaces, and other Swarovski products.
For a brand of crystals in accessories and practically everything around, the fan following is huge across the world. It is established, with even societies being formed in the name of Swarovski.

Timepieces have earned their place in the jewelry category over the last hundred years (or even more), especially with the womenfolk. What could be the limit of luxury? Surpassing all barriers in giving that touch of luxury to things worldly, an anniversary gift by her husband left Digi Foo-Kune floored. A Mughal Emperor once got an entire tomb built in marble for his wife, albeit posthumously. Luxury holidays, cruises, and diamonds are the order of today in anniversary gifting. Digi Foo-Kune’s husband took her to the Cycle Show 2009 and gave her an ultimate, yet unusual surprise – a custom built titanium bicycle.
What’s more, it has inset diamonds and 18ct gold parts. It wears this sleek look but that is just part of it. A lot of hard work went into building the bike. Jeweller Nicholas James of Hatton Garden to customize the bike. Not so surprisingly, building the bike took several months of labour to complete.
Would someone ever want to take this bike out into the open and ride it among people? The dazed wife cannot too, for a while, because the magnificent piece will be on display at Nicholas James’ showroom in Hatton Garden till December end.

Perfume bottle necklaces have been a part of a fashion history for a along time now. Well, didn’t the fashionistas of yore carry their favorite fragrance wrapped around their necks most of the times. Yes, small intricately decorated flasks have been sported by main chains to let the pretty ladies take a dab of their perfume whenever and wherever they liked. This old tradition is not re-entering the market courtesy designer Chhaya Kapadia under the brand Maya Jewels.
We are told that Chhaya built her company based on three principles – intricate designs, use of forgotten traditions of art and skilled craftsmanship. Her creations are surrounded by bright colors and rather elaborate designs thanks to the strong impression her upbringing in Mumbai, India made on her.

The classic Chambord Royal orb bottle just got a jewel-encrusted makeover! Dubbed Chambord by Donald Edge, this liquor bottle is a beauty to behold. The well publicised unveiling was kept in conjunction with the opening of ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’ featuring Anna Friel and Jospeh Cross at the Theatre Royal Haymarket London. Now, that’s what we call a grand and well-strategised advertising!
This very unique bottle contains a rare French black raspberry liquor. It took close to 60 carats of diamonds that translated into 1,100 round brilliantly cut, pear cut as well as a square cut emerald diamond along with precious pearls to decorate this stunner. All these have beenn set in 18 carat yellow gold.

This chess set is fit for the blue blood. We are talking about the Queen’s Silver Jubilee chess set which was restored in 1977. Bearing the London Hallmark, the seat has been made in two suede-lined leather book boxes with hand inlaid Dauphin leather trim. All pieces have been crafted in sterling silver gilt only to be gold plated later keeping a consistency of 5 microns. We are told that you can also get pieces completely made in 18 carat gold.

If you are a fan of everything ‘bubblegummy’, diamonds included then you must check out the fancy one that is up for sale in Chritie’s Hong Kong store. This precious ice is called The Vivid Pink, which really explains, more or less, it’s sparkling good looks. It has been set in a ring designed by graff and comes from a private collection.
Jewelry experts have estimated the value of this diamond between $5million and $7 million. The auction is expected to be held in the beginning of December. With a weight of a neat 5 carats, it is perhaps the largest Fancy Vivid Pink Potentially Flawless diamond to have ever been sold at Christie’s.
