Tiki radiators are available in satin or white finish.

The metal radiator may well go on to turn the centerpiece of your home, thanks to its unique suspension feature. It is so oblivious and yet can attract attention that it resembles a hanging lamp shade. The heating element hangs in mid-air. The designer is Carlo Martino.

Soft Touch Switch Styles up Your Room
Posted in Gadgets, Home Appliances, Home Decor, Products on 6 November 2009

Basalte's Sentido Switch

If style got translated to switches, Sentido light switches have it full volume. Using Patented Multi-touch technology, Basalte has designed Sentido switches.

Each such switch is simple, yet, spells comfort, elegance and quality. Far from the jarring switch designs in living spaces, it complements the decor of such places. The switch is available on retail in two versions, two-way and four-way.

How does it work? The Sentido light switch uses patented multi-touch technology to detect a multiple keypress. By touching more than one area simultaneously, an extra comfort function is activated. This can be used to switch all the lights in the room on or off in a single movement instead of multiple movements.

It features a timeless design that would become relevant after decades too, using the soft touch technology and high-quality material.
The touch-sensitive surface is brushed with aluminum, and controls scenes or curtains with a mild touch and effortless ease.

The switch has a built-in temperature sensor. It means you get an idea of room temperature on the home automation system. It also has an integrated color LED that you can program to light up blue and locate it in the dark too. The switch has an integrated bus-coupler to connect to the worldwide KNX standard.

Playstation Coffee Table is for Gaming Geeks

Playstation Coffee Table

Furniture comes in all kinds of shapes and styles. It comes with whacky material thinking too.

Stephane Perruchon has used such thinking and gone ahead to design a coffee table inspired by a playstation, the base of which is made up of two huge PS3 controllers. The table is complete with two handles made of ABS and also decorated with the buttons. And is sure to remind you of those countless hours you spent with the joystick and indulged in some virtual fantasy.
It is available only in black and white versions, so go ahead and design your room décor around it. The table may be worth the effort for all you know.  He sure must have been a gaming enthusiast himself at some point.
Call that a geeky table if you want. But the thoughtfully designed piece can enliven your room with a super cool feel. Or still better, make it look like a dorm room. For, while the table is delicately stylish, it is very sturdy too.
Stephane Perruchon had earlier designed hanging the design cool Babylon fireplaces which were great.

The Vado Showerhead Is A Giant Squid For Your Bathroom

vado-showerhead The Vado Showerhead Is A Giant Squid For Your Bathroom

Nerds would like it and so would the elitists who always enjoy basking in the glory of being different from the bandwagon. Perhaps, that could be just the reason why the new Vado showerhead will be able to target a huge range of audience, each trying hard to outdo the other. And we are not complaining!

This rather strange looking gadget draws it’s inspiration, design and functioning from the giant squids that have gone everywhere from the waters to to the sci-fi movies and now straight into your shower. The cool invention is adjustable with six flexible tentacles that can be twisted, twirled and aimed at all the places you like (we think this could be really helpful when cleaning the nooks and corners of the bathroom). It just needs to be affixed to the wall and then you can go crazy with it.
