The concept works well for it blends the traditional with the modern to give a fine aesthetic expression never seen before.

Horgan Becket has made use of cast iron insteadof the wood venner which seems to be a more popular choice in the present day decor requirements. And that is just the reason why they are winning kudos from all over. Well, at least someone is daring to be different and pleasing at the same time!
That said, the company also offers the option of complete customisation. I know, it sounds like a Photoshop gimmick that just made its way onto the net, but when we double checked this claim it turns out that it actually is true! So, there are many car fanatics across the globe (millions) and many others who specifically love the Porsche, but surely none can compete with the sheer craziness of Gil Dezer. This dud was wacky enough (and we mean that in a real good way) to actually take the help of a crane, go through plenty of trouble and let go of a driving option to put a 1950 Porsche Spyder 550 on the top of his 8,000-square-foot condo! And when you look at it, it does look like the work of Spiderman; just that there are no strings attached!

It took an entire team of technicians, a crane and plenty of modifications to get the Spyder 550 up there and now Gil can control its headlights and horn from a touchscreen placed besides the door. Cool and crazy at the same time Gil could obviously afford to hang a car for as an indoor decorative as he own another 7 Porsches too (We told you he was a fanatic!)

While obviously there are many across the globe who own a fleet of cars, none have tried this before making Gil and his condo damn special. So, the day yours truly can afford to but 4 or 5 Ferraris, he will try and emulate Gil… I did say try…

We just came across this bit of news which might just add some excitement to your lives that forever wait for some gorgeous piece to add to your collection. Hyde Park Antiques in New York is selling a pair of exquisite Regency rosewood and Parcel Gilt game tables. And when we say ‘exquisite’ we totally mean ‘exquisite’!

Each of these tables have a rectangular top that has been lined with leather to make for a real classy gaming surface. We are quite taken up by the boldly craved acanthus edges that yell royal luxury in your face, and tell you very frankly, no one seems to mind it. And then there is a peneled frieze set between the foliate-carved corbels.

The square structure has quite a strong support from its base that has foliate scrolls applied with rosettes all over the quadripatite plinth base on gilt foliate-scroll that form the feet. The price tag is huge at $80,000. Even if you are not much into games, this one will be a great addition to your home deor. The dimensions are 28.5″ h x 18″ d x 36″ l.

Furniture comes in all kinds of shapes and styles. It comes with whacky material thinking too.

Stephane Perruchon has used such thinking and gone ahead to design a coffee table inspired by a playstation, the base of which is made up of two huge PS3 controllers. The table is complete with two handles made of ABS and also decorated with the buttons. And is sure to remind you of those countless hours you spent with the joystick and indulged in some virtual fantasy.
It is available only in black and white versions, so go ahead and design your room décor around it. The table may be worth the effort for all you know.  He sure must have been a gaming enthusiast himself at some point.
Call that a geeky table if you want. But the thoughtfully designed piece can enliven your room with a super cool feel. Or still better, make it look like a dorm room. For, while the table is delicately stylish, it is very sturdy too.
