It’s called Airboard, from Arbortech. And is a new thrill in sporting. Adjust your balance, change your weight from one side to another, and you can turn from 180º to 360º. The new gadget can take you to unimagined fun. Simply ride it, or try twists and moves, it promises fun. It is apparently, identical to those used at Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
Airboard is a petite gasoline powered personal hovercraft or a propeller driven vehicle, that has an electric start. Start it up, hop on board, adjust the throttle and move on. Its makers say it is easy to control, maintain and ideal for riders who are aged above 14 years.
The handle bar has two levers, one to lift the engine speed and another to thrust. By bending backwards, a small propelling wheel at the rear of the vehicle can be used to touch the ground to help accelerate the hovercraft.

And we never knew there was a faint possibility to make pool even more addictive than it actualy is! Enter Obscura and its wonderful knack of adding a lot of chutzpah to whatever little project it plans to take up. This time around it is the CueLight that has caught everyone’s fancy. This innovative pool table makes use of sensors and motion detectors along with an overhead projector. The latter creates images as you go about leaping on the table.
This system works well because the balls can now be tracked and tailed with fire illusions. In fact, the pool table can also create ripples when the balls strike the side rails. All this comes for a price, and might we add a big one too. $80,000 is what the system costs while the pool table comes for nothing less than $125,000. The mankind has always been fascinated by the future whether it’s been philosophers, writers and scientists, of course. Sci-fi fans intend to take it to an all new level altogether. Retro-futurism is the form that is the current favorite with both geeks and connoisseurs. And if you have the moolah (apart from the zest, of course) then you must definitely check out the Shipwrecked Submarine Home Theater.
A fascinating concept, this one is really the play room of Wayne Eyre (no relation of the famous Jane Eyre) who went on to spend a huge $100,000 on this submarine complete with plutonium-leaking torpedos.
