Yvan Arpa had gained a lot of fame and a creative notoriety when working for the Geneva-based brand. But now that he has moved on to follow solo dreams of his own (with another company it seems), one can still sense a strong presence of the Roman Jerome touch in creating timepieces with the most unusual components.

But the watch we are going to tell you about is surely something that has never been attempted before. Vesenaz, Switzerland based company Artya has designed the timepiece. What unique about this fashionable accessory is the litte fact – its face has been made fossilized dinosaur dung while the strap comes from the skin of American cane toad.

Howsoever eeky it may sound to the ears, the watch is worth a dekko and worth each penny constituting its $11,290 price tag. Did we ever know that feces would fetch so much money! Arpa informed the NY Times that the coprolite used in the watch face comes from a plant-eater that died about 100  million years ago in the USA of millions of years ago.

Harlette is a pretty big name in Australia and the elite fashion market. The brand has luxurious lingerie collections to its credit. Now, the same company has decided to join hands with Eskae Jeweler to create a spectacular platinum lingerie suspender clasps that are decorated with nothing but the purest and most shiny set of diamonds.

It is a unique concept indeed. In fact, it was given an innovation patent 2009100676 on 14th July 2009 for being the first of its kind in the world of fashionable underwear. The clasps are shaped in the form of hearts with 135 precious ices all over. They comes with a velvet suspender or should we say garter belts at a price tag of $15K.

The spokesperson for Harlette was heard saying that the brand is more keen on exclusivity than bling. The latest collection also includes fabrics decorated with embellished crystal-beaded French lace, ostrich and peacock feathers. There is some more. Each piece has been made in hand keeping in mind everyone of the client’s needs who comes from countries like Saudi Arabia, UK, USA and Malaysia. News is that Harlette is expanding.

It is very embarrassing if one of your friends spots out a dent on your car especially when you are halfway through flaunting it! The disaster could have been averted if you had some special magic powers to catch the sight of such dents, which sometimes are very difficult to locate, and get them fixed. Here is an avant-garde parking system which will not only ensure the safety of your dear car but it will also detect the damages to your vehicle.

This concept has been formulated by a Serbian designer, Milos Todorovic. This novel parking concept will become a rage as nobody wants to put up with the unnoticed dents and scratches.

It features a metal frame which houses a semicircular metal bar; this bar can rotate 180 degrees and thus can easily scan the unnoticed damages, which would otherwise always elude bare eyes. It has a touch-sensitive panel which can control the movements of the bar. The green light on the metal frame indicates that ‘parking is available’.

As they say that there are pros and cons to everything, in jam-packed cities it will be very difficult to find enough room to place this parking system.

Mariano Fajgelbaum is a designer from the city of Buenos Aires in Argentina. He recently sent us his latest design which concerns a self sustaining catamaran. The 22 meter long catamaran is eco-friendly and uses the power of sea, wind and sun in order to run and keep the engines active.

When the engine of the catamaran is not running, one could use the solar panels to make use of the solar energy and save it for a rainy day. The sub aquatic 180” telescopic turbine accumulates the water current power and could be used during the night when there is no sun. Using the Eolic Turbine, one could use air drafts to supply more energy that might be required. All the energy could be stored in 116 batteries inside the hulls.

The catamaran itself is well designed and comes with large rooms and spacious interiors.

The Catamaran has not been given a name yet and is just a concept but it could serve as an inspiration to boat manufacturers so that they release boats that are self sustainable and eco friendly.

Usually we assume pollution exists out there on the streets, and that inside out houses it is clean and pure. Unfortunately it is not so and we have to understand that the air is equally impure inside out houses as well. Air fresheners may help in reducing the odour but they do not purify the air. Thus, here is a gadget that not only tells you how polluted the air is, but it also purifies your air to an extent.

It is shaped like a tree stump and looks pretty cool. Park Jun Seok and Kwon Hye Rim have created the Green Ring, which keeps your ait clean and pure. When the air is bad, the stump turns red and when it is green that means the light is good. It is made of recycled materials and is thus a great way to make sure that everything is alright.

You would just need to pull the little branch a bit in order to make sure there is enough power supply. I would so love to get one for myself and if you asked me, there could not be a better way to get anything than this. Park Jun Seok and Kwon Hye Rim certainly know that this could solve many problems.

What could be better than sitting in a confined space on the terrace with some amazing alcoholic drinks? Well, nothing really unless you are sitting with a hot guy to be with. Now, here is a cool seating pod that comes with space to sit, keep things and also manage your drinks.

Terrace Bar Seating pods by Sekhar Roy could be one of the most well designed products lately and it is indeed surprising that a student could create such a wonderful seating arrangement. The swooping arm comes with a cool interchangeable light fixtures, and you could even feel up the person next to you and your husband or lover would never know what you are doing within the pod.
It offers privacy in its own way, and is thus a really attractive design. Sometimes, all we need is a great design but manufacturers do not realize that and instead they unveil products that are mundane and boring, unlike the Terrace Bar Seating pods by Sekhar Roy. The guy is a student at the Florence Design Academy. The academy is well known for its talent pool and this is just an example.

There is nothing more luxurious than being able to drink a hot cup of coffee when you are at the system slogging your bottom away. Moreover, when you have the workstation in the living room, it just becomes a pain to get to the kitchen to fetch some coffee. Sony Fusion is a conceptual table that looks refined and elegant.

It combines great technology with furniture aspects and allows you to use it as a multipurpose table and high performance desktop. With a sexy matte black aluminium and chrome lining, you could expect the table to be one of the most sensual pieces of technological furniture ever created. All you would need to do is touch the button to convert the table into a workstation and vice versa. It amazingly splits in two and reveals the LED outlined keyboard, screen and DVD drive.

The table comes in blue, white and red and costs about $3,000 for you to buy. It is not clear when it would be produced for the masses, but it is a concept and hence might take a while for it to be available in the market. It is indeed one of the best coffee tables and of course a great workstation!

Using Photoshop, Illustrator, and some real kick-ass designing skills, the guy has created this awesome looking PSP. The device is expected to come with DHC memory card, Bluetooth for multiplayer games and 16:9 aspect ratio screen.

If only Sony takes notice of such budding talent, you could be sure that you would get to play on a cool gadget like this. Nevertheless, it is not clear how much the device might cost to be manufactured, and if they are going to be limited edition pieces, if they really are going to be manufactured.

The stupendous looking transport machine will cut through the sea waves with its electric motor powered propeller. Passengers will be seated in a sophisticated arrangement in the vehicle bestowing upon them the scenic view of the sea around.

The batteries here would be charged by connecting the craft to a power source or by activating its wind turbine sails. It uses the technology of catamaran, multihulled boats or ships, to discourage drag and save on power needs.  Where one league of designers is busy rolling out designer cars and bikes, this one is out-of-the-box for it has made use of water as a mode of transport.
