In terms of cool workstations, we have had our fair share of some cool concepts to be discussed, especially the pod-shaped Globus artifort mobile workstation because of the privacy it provides to the user. Designer Won Shik Yu’s Flower Bud computer workstation concept too deserves our precious time as this one gives a maintained private dimension in any surrounding.
Being adjustable, the workstation is quite easy to handle. It consists of a modern fiber glass seat that is styled the contemporary way in a whole range of colors, so that you can enjoy and relax in a private space build up as per your whims and fancies.

Oh, don’t we always wish life was a bed of roses? Now, that might be a little too much to ask for. In that case, how does a chair full of petals sound to you for a consolation? Welcome Tokujin Yoshioka’s ‘Bouquet Chair’. As one would expect anything with flowers to be romantic, this ones too falls in the same category.
A rather sentimental piece of furniture, the bouquet chair has hand-folded Alcantara fabric petals cover the simple egg-shaped shell on top sewn with a lot of care and patience. The slim base of this stool like chair is structured in lacquered steel. The best part about this chair is that even after one has sat in it, the petals resume original shape.

Arne Jacobsen has designed limited edition Shearling Swan Chair which looks more chic than luxurious. The chair does not exactly look comfortable and hence may not feel luxurious. However, the chair looks outlandish and if impressing your visitors and making your living space look good was your priority, you must go ahead and get this chair before the stocks are out.
The chair’s exterior is made of an awesome Kiwi lamb that is curly and smooth at the same time. It also has a suede look which reminds you of the modernist era. It is being offered specially by Suite New York and there is no price listed. When the price is not listed, you can take it for granted that it is going to be more expensive than hell.

This one is a real treat for all the couch potatoes out there. Called the emotion seat, this multimedia chair has been designed by Cinovent with a promise to give a never-before cinematic experience. The chair comes well-equipped with all sorts of multimedia razzmatazz required to make you a part of the movie that you are watching.
The technical name of this state-of-the art chair is 4-D/5-D Magic Event Cinema. And what it does is simply combine the thrilling computer animated and live action 3-D/4-D films with brilliantly designed special 4-D/5-D effects. As a result, the one sitting in the chair gets engulfed in a movie watching process that is one of its kinds.

News is that Roberto Cavalli will soon woo all the babies (and of course their mamas too) with their first and exclusive line of wheelchairs and strollers under their ‘Baby Safari Collection’. This is collaborative effort with Aprica that has given birth to some very fashionable baby cars. We hear that the prams are made in black, ice and dark brown together with the signature prints and the custom RC golden monogram.
The strollers are designed to accommodate the baby from birth up to four years and come equipped with “+ protection” that gives complete protection and support to the baby’s neck, ensuring that it is in the correct position.

Bean bags are always far more inviting when it comes to tempting someone to take a seat even if they do not really need it and even though you have really expensive designer furniture around, it is always the big lump that gets all the attention. It to an extent brings out the kid in all of us and we all want to actually go plunging into it at some level. You talk about classes in airplanes and the immediate thing that comes to mind is this one episode in Seinfeld where Elaine proclaims that, “Our aim must be to build a society without classes” and so there should be no such bias on a plane. That might be too fare fetched, but the new Shell Seat from JAL Sky designed for the Economy Class tries to bridge that gap between the ‘Classes’. This elegantly designed seat gives you comfort along with features that give the long and often boring plane ride a much needed lift.

Though it looks very futuristic, Herman Miller’s Embody chair is a must have for an ultra-modern yet comfortable décor. Aptly called the Embody this classy piece offers a wonderful stimulus with the characteristic Herman Miller signature.
People are already tagging it as the new Aeron, must I say that the Embody has a unique style of its own. For starters, it is not sleek like the Aeron but it stands exquisite with an intricate design on the back of the chair, resembling a human spine even flexing and bending to cradle the body! This one’s for the Apple lovers!!! Naah, not the fruit but the producer of iMacs and iPods, and now the iPhone. Well, let’s hear it then. Heckler Design has come up with a cool piece of furniture which they lovingly call OneLessDesk. It comprises of two slim tables, one tucked under the other, and can slide out when required and serve as two work surfaces.
The larger and taller one can be used for keeping desktop computers and your decorative nick-knacks like your flower vase, crystal pieces, time piece and all that jazz. On the other hand, the smaller desk can be utilised for keep the keyboard, mouse and even laptops.
Coming back to what I was saying about the link between this desk and Apple; the OneLessDesk comes with in-built chargers for iPod models. Available in two models, the stainless steel is prices at $649 while the actual stainless steel model is for $1199, you can pick the one that suits you better and try the lab table experience even at home now.
