This latest design is a result of intense research, perhaps that is why you will find a bulky bamboo layer around the chassis, which means that it offers a great combination of wood with high-class steel.

Apart from redefining acoustic luxury, the Legno turntable is also equipped to produce quality output from your old vinyl records. Wood’s stabilizing qualities and resonance damping properties are tapped to their potential. The entire mechanism sits pretty on four adjustable, high-grade steel feet that are coupled with O-rings made from rubber composite. It also features a synchronous motor driven by a high-end outboard controller creating a delicate and exceptional sound.

The 10.5-inch tonearm comes with Koetsu cartridge. You can choose yours between the Montegiro model and three others by Da Vinci, SME or Jelco. The suggested price is close $13,000 but the final price tag remains to be announced. Till then prepare yourself to reach stratospheric audio highs.

Oh, don’t we just love to revel in the joys of modern technology! Recently, we heard of the Asus’ HTPC Keyboard concept but now we actually learnt of a few specs to go with it. Hear hear, this wonder keyboard is expected to come with a 5-inch built-in display, 1.6 GHz Atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, 16/32 GB SSD, Bluetooth and WiiFi. That’s the technical stuff, but we are sure that you will be impressed by the flat MAC-like keys.

We have no word on the price of launch date as yet, but we do know that this keyboard has wirless HDMI, 2 USB 2.0, VGA and audio in/out as features. Find Windows XP home as the operating system, which is a rather off beat choice for something that wants to be a part of the hometheater PC. We wonder why there isn’t a TV tuner either!

So, keep guessing the amount you might have to splurge on this one for the next 6 months because it doesn’t look as if the keyboard will be out sooner than that. But it will be worth all the wait for won’t it be wonderful to carry this pocket projector which will allow access to a full PC anyplace anytime.

CES 2009 saw more weird gadgets being featured and this time one could get the pillow with Bluetooth. Urban Tool unveiled their perCushion, which comes with Bluetooth technology and a great design. The Bluetooth speakers and music controls were stashed in the pillow to make a futuristic pillow possible. It also comes with built-in microphones and the battery can be recharged once and will last for 10 hours.

Unless you are planning to lie in the bed for 10 hours continuously, this must be enough. However, the pillow also comes with a futuristic price of $500 and is rather expensive for many. However, if you are looking for something innovative, the perCushion is a great pillow to be bought.

Imaging having your partner lay beside you while you both listen to romantic music while in bed. The music would emanate not from a corner but right from the pillow you would share.

CES 2009 is where the crazy and bizarre meets technology. Hunter Concert Breeze is a unique gadget, which is a ceiling fan but doubles up as a speaker as well. The idea is to inundate the room with sound, excellent acoustics and spread it 360 degrees. Looks like there is no end to the innovative products one can come across at the CES 2009.

The funny looking fan will cost $449 and will be made available in June this year. It comes with a speaker fan, a remote for you to control the speaker functions and of course the fan as well, and a transmitter.

The remote not only controls the volume but it will also adjust the light according to your needs. It would be a splendid way to exhibit your affluence in front of your guests. So wait till this June and you will have the best ceiling fan ever.

What do you think of ‘in your face’ brand of luxury? To be frank, we are in two minds about the actual appeal of such products. Nevertheless, that will not stop us from sharing the Yubz Talk phone currently on display at CES 2009. For the wise guys, this one is not the same fun gadget reminding us of the days gone by that was released last October. The new one’s a part of a limited edition of 20 pieces that has a whole splash of bling all over it!

The phone is worth $1,800 only because close to 5,400 grade A Swarovski crystals adorn the body of this version of Graham Bell’s original invention. We are sure that the man must be smiling in his grave for this unique sort of eulogy! Like we told you, the phone is absolutely in the retro mode. So much so that it looks like a replica of the Western Electric 500-series model, of course without the digital display.

But that should not make you believe that the technology too is vintage. After all, with the limited edition Yubz Talk phone you do get the option of connecting it to your Bluetooth computer or mobile device and talk in retro-style. However, let’s admit the bluetooth feature here does have some limited functions. Great to look at but don’t know if you should buy it!

For once, we found a luxury piano that is a wee bit geeky too. If you had been looking for the ultimate touchscreen video VOiP phone, head straight to the stalls at the CES 2009. iRiver as launched the Wave Home which comes with built-in widgets. The Wave Home looks so elite that your eyes may pop out and you wouldn’t mind shelling out a fortune to get this sleek and stylish gadget.

It has a 7″ LCD touchscreen and a wireless handset too. The camera has a good resolution too and you wouldn’t regret buying it if you ever do. It will cost $400 and is worth every penny you spend on it. However, it does not run Skype and that might pose a problem.

Well, never mind for this is a cool way to spend not only your money but also to communicate with people. iRiver surely knows how to launch gadgets that are well appreciated by the elites and snub the masses.

We all know how cool it is to watch movies on Blu-ray disc. The picture clarity is almost flawless and there is no way you can dispute the advantages of Blu-ray discs. However, there definitely is one drawback, which is about the portability. Most Blu-ray discs can only be played on Home Theater Systems, which are anything but portable. This is where the DVD scores for DVD players are portable and can be carried almost anywhere.

At the CES 2009, Panasonic launched the first portable Blu-ray player ever and it can be used anywhere inside your house. The Panasonic DMP-B15 comes with an 8.9″ screen and a battery backup of 3 hours. It is also Bitstream compatible and comes with an HDMI slot and an SD Card slot as well. It really is a great product but the battery life is really bad.

However, considering the fact that this is the world’s first portable Blu-ray player which is portable, such drawbacks could be forgiven. The Panasonic DMP-B15 looks good and is packed with features. However it is not known when the product will be released or how much it will cost.
