Signs of the recession lifting up have been a huge welcome, even in the luxury market. Well this moolah-related happening has given a reason to most brands to go real wild and creative on their theme-based luxe products. Take Mobiado for instance, this Canadian mobile phone maker has just created the the 350 Pioneer to join the space-themed luxury phone by Vertu.
We are told that 350 Pioneer has a body that’s been machined from none other than spacecraft aluminum with clear anodizing to achieve an exclusive and hard surface. Once this is done, the maker inlaid the frame with sapphire crystals as well as an infrared window made from a single piece of ruby crystal.

The Motorola Aura has been on the top of the news for a whole bagful of reasons. We heard about the grand presentation by none other than David Beckham and then there was Amosu waving it’s bling-y wand on the mobile to create some cheezy but luxe versions for the same. And this time, it is the Diamond Edition of the phone that is making heads turn. Designed with the sole motivation to outshine every other phone in the league, this one is a sight to behold with its 18 carat goldplating.
Not just that, some 34 sparkling diamons line the circular display of the phone (something like what Amosu did but we prefer the new pattern a wee bit more). The mobile phone is a real show stopper.

The global economic recession has witnessed the start of many trends. For once, big fashion houses have become flexible enough to dabble into stuff other than just designing clothes so as to bring in more moolah to their cash registers. Christian Dior is one of them. The famous brand has just annoounced the release of their newest phone line that will be launched in December this year.
A second generation range of luxury phones by its makers, these come plated in gold with a complementing finishing in black PVD. The effect is completed by the sparkling sapphire crystals and looks amazing. These additional models are here to satiate your desire for the unique and the flamboyant.

It is something that reminds us of childhood games with cords and cups playing the phone game, a long cord connecting the two `phones’ while the players talk to each other. Or for that matter, a romantic rendezvous. But Korean designer has been influenced by more than that in designing a concept phone – what he calls, the `love connection’ cellphone.
Joonho Choi has been inspired by the yin and yang energies. The cellphone device consists of two parts, which are connected by retractable or stretchable cord. The cellphone doubles up as a medium to entertain the user too. It doubles up as an MP3 player and triples as a small camera. The concept phone can also convert data to share with friends and associates. When the two parts are split, or rather when you pull the cord connecting the two pieces away, one part can still work as a phone while the other can work as an MP3 player.

Love it or hate, but you can’t ignore it. We mean brand Vertu that has a great liking for blinging up mobile phones for those seeking luxury and style. It’s agreed that some of the designs are over the top and so are their price tags. But the fact remains that Vertu has a very strong line of loyalists. And it is for them alone that the brand has released the new Constellation Ayxta.
Keeping true to the Vertu tradition as witnessed in the Ascent, Signature and the current Constellation version, the Ayxta too flaunts the finest craftsmanship ever seen. There is a leather trim too with a round the clock access to the company’s concierge service from any place in the world.

Imitation is the best form of flattery they say. But not always, is what we say. Take the Vertu Signature Boucheron phone for instance. This $310,000 worth limited edition piece has got itself a cheap rip-off. The out-of-reach phone has now been made available (and not in a good way) to all at a very low price of $700. After all, it isn’t the original piece that we all fell in love with instantly.
The duplicate Vertu Boucheron tries to impersonate the original in every possible way, of course minus the class and elegance characteristic to the handset. There are no real diamond or rubies but cheap stones that try to remain as close they can to the real play of colors.

The Formula 1 is at its peak. And the luxury world is doing everything it can to celebrate its spirit. After all, there aren’t too many sports that are referred to as the rich man’s (oops, person’s) game. This time around it is the Russian manufacturer of luxury mobile phones Gresso that has been inspired by F1 racing.
The newest release from the brand has been dubbed Gresso Grand Monaco. And we are told that it has been molded out of the materials related to the world of racing. For instance, a titanium super alloy has been used as well as a hi-tech ceramic and carbon. Even steel and hand-polished 42 K sapphire crystal has been used for framing the display.
