The year end will witness famous auction house Bonhams conduct a very rare sale of luxury watches that belong to the private collection of the Porsche Family. The name of the event to be held at New Bond Street is ‘Fine Watches & Wristwatches’. And you can safely expect some of the best creations ever in the world of uber rich timepieces here.

A very unique auction, it will feature pieces by Eterna, Porsche Design, Panerai, Rolex, Jaeger LeCoultre, Breitling, Eberhard, Omega and Chronoswiss. In other words, every brand that you ever loved will be pretty much under this one roof. The high point of the event will be an 18 carat gold chronograph by Eterna that has an estimated price bracket of £4000-6000. This one was presented to Dr. Ferdinand Oliver Porsche on his 40th birthday celebration.
Again, there is also one spectacular watch called Porsche Design that is known for its different dial designs and it carries an estimated price of £1800-2200. Do look out for Porsche Design prototypes, the Dashboard PTR-Titan Rattrapante, Rolex Explorer II and Jaeger LeCoultre Memovox Polaris.

No prizes for guessing that its legend Michael Jackson and his trademark fashion accessory that we are talking about here. Apparently, this shimmering white glove (yep, there is only one) was worn by MJ at the premiere of his trademark moonwalk dance way back in 1983. This little fame feat of its cost the highest bidder Hoffman Ma of Hong Kong some $420,000 bucks!

The glove is a modified golf glove studded with rhinestones all over. Jackson wore it on his left hand during the Motown’s 25th anniversary TV special. In fact, this one was the top item among the singer’s other stuff at the Hard Rock Cafe in Times Square.

Even after spending such a fortune, Ma is a happy man and finds the deal “a fairly good discount”. Well, such is the charisma of the great popstar who even in his death continues to have die-hards, who are willing to go to any length only to keep his memory alive. By the way, the auction also featured one of Jacko’s jackets from his 1989 ‘Bad’ tour that fetched $225,000.

It seems that Donald Trump has had enough of all the pampering delights that his vintage and luxurious personal plane has to offer and hence in typical Trump style called it up on the runway and said ‘You’re fired’. Well, maybe not, but he must have either decided to move n to something better or something more modern or has been feeling the pinch of the times as his 1968 vintage plane, originally operated by American Airlines, is now up for grabs. Up for sale the plane still sports the giant 30-foot Trump log on the side and a‘t’ on the tail. Complete with soft beige leather armchairs around a conference table, special dining area, a master bedroom and various other delights, this specially modified extravagance on wings is re-designed to carry 24-passengers.

Having logged a total of 41,833 hours with 29,664 total landings, it seems that Trump is finally done with the 1968 model. Though only the coming days will tell why he actually let go of the plane, it is most likely that Trump has made a new acquisition and that will soon be revealed to the world. Tough we are still wondering if Trump will redo the paint job and sell this one or should the buyer pay for a new paint job that gets rid of the logo!

Bizarre as it may sound, a clump of hair people believe had belonged to the King was sold for $ 15,000 at a Chicago auction house. It was Item No. 66. The hair was supposed to have been shaved off his head when he joined Army in 1958, says Chicago Tribune. The hair was part of legend Elvis’ 200 items that went under the hammer at Chicago’s Leslie Hindman Auctioneers.

Besides this, were pictures of Elvis Presley’s wedding reception when he married Priscilla in 1967, Christmas cards, Elvis dolls etc. The collection interestingly included his sweat-stained scarves too! These items belonged to Gary Pepper, Elvis Presley’s friend who ran a popular fan club, but died of cerebral palsy in 1980. Needless to say, the auction had its share of die-hard fans who were willing to grab these items.
John Urso got the King’s white cotton shirt with an “EP” monogram for $52,000 besides a red ultra-suede shirt for $ 28,000. Adam Holbrook, another fan, managed to get hold of some Elvis dolls.

Quite a match for HP co-star Rupert Grint  who bought his fourth home recently, this house has quite an enviable layout.

Spread across a sprawling 3,000 sq. ft, the new house has five lavish bedroom spaces with a 39ft long garden. We are told that this house was built by a sea captan in 1847 for his daughter. So, once can expect a lot of old world charm in this abode.

A Sotheby’s brochure claims that this NY property has one of the most stunning tree-lined landmark cobblestone blocks. Standing 18 feet tall, the house gets ample amount of sunlight all through the day. The landscaping is gorgeous with several old trees lining everywhere.

Michael Jackson had worn the white glove with tiny lights at his 1984 tour selling in the Profiles in History auction at Calabasas, near Los Angeles, for £44,300, approx $70,144.

The piece was one of the two made for the singer by Ted Shell, with shinning bugle beads and Austrian crystal rhinestones. It had as many as 50 tiny lights drawing power from nine volt battery in the cuff.

The auction had 1,200 unique pieces of Hollywood history, other items being MJ’s red V-necked jumper encrusted with deep red rhinestones and white fedora hat fetching £29,500. And, an Elvis Presley guitar that sold for £66,500.
