ford_bbq_truck Ford Truck BBQ Grill Is For Keeps If You Have The Moolah To Afford It

Technology has indeed taken BBQ grills to newer levels, but this time we spotted creativity doing a real slick job with the whole outdoor cooking regime. And in all fairness, we are completely blown away by it. First, it was the barbecue train followed by Dragon BBQ grills but even those could not satiate the hunger for more styles, and so the pistol-shaped BBQ grill was born. This time it is a truck, or should we say Ford truck to be precise, that is at your service to cook up some crunchy meats and breads for you on the go.

This one comes decked with all the high-tech gadgets giving one the ultimate in tailgating. In fact, it might just remind you of the Fire Truck grill that was launched last year. Well, the two are different and you will know once you take a look at the Ford Truck grill’s price tag which is a huge $15,000.

Four Wheeled, But a Motorcycle
Posted in Automobile, Travel on 29 October 2009

Four Wheeled Cosmos 4RW V8 Muscle Bike We live in the age when cars are getting smaller and smaller, to the point of becoming three wheeled vehicles. If the four-wheeler segment is undergoing dramatic changes in product production, so is the two-wheeler part of automobile industry too.

Mileage, looks, power, or whatever you call, a great amount of research is happening on the motorcycles and scooters front. How would you react then, to a motorcycle that defies the notion of two wheels and metamorphosizes into a four-wheeled rarity your eyes may not quite be used to?

Would you call it a motorcycle? Technically motorcycles are supposed to have just two wheels. Cars are supposed to have four. The 2010 Cosmos 4RW V8 Muscle Bike is at times bizarre looking and at other times looks like a fusion of some kind. It stretches out longer than a normal motorcycle does, it has a 350 cubic inch engine, which also has 350 horsepower. And has, four wheels. Four big wheels with two in the front, two in the back, except that the pairs look stuck together.

You may be able to ride it only if you are big in size. The advantage is that two big wheels will not let you fall for lack of balance. The wheels measure 17-inches. And the price is: $93,200.

Posted in Automobile, Car, Concept, Luxury Car on 28 October 2009

Metromorph Concept Balcony CarParking woes and traffic congestion are a bane of our generation. But that they will get more intense as the years pass, is something all of us live in the dread of. True that technology research is moving in the direction of compact cars. Metromorph fits the urgent need just right, and takes care of the traffic and parking woes bit. It’s a concept straight out of the sci-fi movies, where vehicles can move up a building up vertically. The concept car has been made by designer Roman Mistiuk.

While one of its key functions is to ease traffic congestion in big cities, it takes care of the dearth of parking space availability to residents of apartment buildings in a big metropolitan area, just as business districts can sit pretty with the ease in parking woes.

This car, can ride smooth on the roads, has two in-wheel motors on its rear besides two battery cases, its wheels are hidden inside the structure, has rotating arms that can help a vertical and horizontal drive. The car, can ride vertically in what they call the Balcony mode, meaning, it turns 90 deg to become a balcony.

industrial-north-1 Andy Shaw & Robert Silkstone Create Timeless Watches, Britannic & Vanguard-Precision

Automotive designers Andy Shaw and Robert Silkstone like to keep themselves busy. So apart from designing cool cars, lately they had been spending a lot of time to develop their first range of watches. We are told that they took almost two years to work on the concept. And the result? Britannic and Vanguard-Precision. These are the names of the two timepieces that will blow you away and burn a hole in you purse too.

We are told that the two watches draw a lot from the designers’ background in the automotive world. In fact, intensive techniques like spark erosion and wire-EDM machining have all been very cleverly combined with laser engraving. For creating Britannic,  the inner case of the watch has been CNC machined. It holds six rare 10 BA screws that were used back in the days of the British Empire. A pattern influenced by the Fibonacci sequence can be seen on the laser cute face of the watch. On the other hand, Vanguard precision has a brown leather calfskin strap with natural colored stitching. Its face reminds one of the flow of cotton through the cloth mills of northern England. It also carries the slogan “Come Into The Factories.”
