Victoria’s Secret is a brand known as much for the sexy lingerie it makes as for the gorgeous models it hires for its fashion shows. Well, once again the name is in news for the just the same reasons. We hear that none other than supermodel Angel Marisa Miller has been roped in by VS to do some heavy duty modeling for its upcoming year. Not just that, the beautiful Brazilian will walk down the ramp wearing a stunning diamond-studded bra designed by Damiani with an estimated cost of $3 million.
PEOPLE magazine reports Angel as absolutely ecstatic about the grand turn in her career and even shared some details about the fantasy bra which by the way is being celebrated as ‘a girl’s best friend’. The harlequin pattern on the bra is decorated with several diamonds in shades of white, campagne and cognac.

That tension, that eager anticipation, those trying nine months! Parents-to-be go to astronomical lengths in ensuring the safe birth of their babies. Capitalizing on this phase of people’s lives is We TV that has started a new series called Platinum Babies.

There is one piece of cloth that is driving a lot of people to come to the American Natural History Museum in NYC. We are talking about a magnificent textile made from extremely soft but strong silk fiber that comes from a local spider. Measuring an impressive 11 feet by 4 feet, this one took four long years to be designed and woven.
We are told that this is a one of its kind piece of textile ever exhibited in the world. The silk fiber that has made jaws drop comes from the female orb spider, which is a species famed for its yellow-hued webs. These spiders were collected from telephone wires everyday by a host of people by using long poles. In fact, these giant spiders are also commonly found in Madagascar. So, these were silked and then released back into the wild every day.

Brand Di Murini has decided to do something never attempted before. Well, it has released a limited collection of Spotlight mastectomy lingerie range that has been heavily and tastefully decorated with Swarovski crystals. The driving force behind this line is to help raise money in October that is symbolic as Breast Cancer Awareness month.
An out and out couture range, Spotlight has been especially designed to make women feel very sexy. All the bras have been hand decorated and are touted as the most expensive in their category. The price range lies around $1,900 with 50% of profits going to the charity foundation ‘Against Breast Cancer’.

Girls love fashion. And when we say that we mean to add, “age no bar”. Yeps, it has been seen that the one doesn’t require to have a qualifying age to appreciate the fine things in life. So little girls who fall into this bracket would definitely appreciate the special baby girl line created by Juicy Couture. The not-so-well-known brand aims to rise in popularity by creating a new target consumer altogether. A pretty smart move, if you ask us!
The fashionable collection includes faux-fur coats, suede boots, velor robes and what not. All designs wear the logo. While you will see a lot of pink, let us assure you that none of the creations try to cross the ‘cute’ borderline. Your little girl continues to look like the lovely doll she is and not some underaged fashion diva.

LVMH-owned London shirt makers and haberdashers that go by the name of Thomas Pink have come up with a very cute innovation. Now that the iPod has attained the bare necessity status as one steps out of the house, the brand has designed a special Commuter Tie just for the purpose of holding your favorite gadget intact as part of their forthcoming Autumn Winter 2009/2010 collection.
A very sophisticated affair, this tie is 100% silk woven with a nice little pocket on the reverse to keep your useful MP3 device safe. Right now, the small pocket is fir for the new iPod Nano and other smaller devices. Too bad for the owners of the iPod Classic for they will have to wait some more.

Michael Jackson was indeed planning for a huge comeback for himself. But unfortunately, as we saw, life doesn’t necessarily go the way we planned it. Now we are hearing that the pop legend was involved in talks with famous designer Christian Audigier to start a collection of his own. But his sudden death left things mid-way and now his designer friend has decided to make his dream come true.
Apparently, MJ was able to design 100 patterns that included a pair of rhinestone socks and a rhinestone glove. He had been working on these with Audigier ever since 2007. Plans were to launch it with Jackson’s ‘this is it’ comeback tour.

Agent Provocateur has a reputation of bringing the sauciest range of lingerie. Now, we could go on the whole debate about vanity and it’s relation to women (the Alexander Pope way) but we shall exclude that part and go on straight to talk about the newest line created by the fashion brand. Dubbed as kinky couture, the Agent Provocateur Soiree collection will feature the most exquisite lingerie in the world.
We are informed that the pieces have been made out of the finest and the most delicate fabrics, each sewn with hand-crusted Swarovski crystals into hand-studded Italian leather. The company’s director Joe Coree is claiming that the new lingerie line has been kept true to the couture tradition and is aimed at fashionistas for whom money is never an issue.

We do know that the famous Beckham couple has been the face of Emporio Armani for some time now. In fact, the pretty lady in question actually sizzled the metallic avatar that she donned to endorse the lingerie line (don’t fret, because we also think that David looked like a real scorcher too; just that this article is more about wifey dearest than him). But now, it looks like Victoria has her own plans. The first being, to discontinue our professional association with the luxe design house by not renewing her one year contract with them.
We presume that it’s her own fashion empire that call for Victoria’s unabated attention right now. She wants to channelize all her creative energies into growing her own fashion brand which is catching up with the fashionistas thanks to its varied range of dresses, denims, sunglasses and perfumes.
