Four Seasons First Luxury Mountain Destination in Europe

Four Seasons fans who love hitting the slopes will soon have a place to lay their head on when the brand opens two luxury hotels in one of the mountains of Europe. Four Seasons Hotel and Resorts has recently announced plans for its first mountain destination, which is scheduled to open in late 2017.

Located in Megeve, France, Four Seasons Hotel and Chalet du Mont d’Arbois will be set in the middle of the snow-capped peaks of the Haute-Savoie Alpine range. The Four Seasons, Megeve will have 55 guests’ rooms in the base of the French Alps Mont d’Arbois, as well as a collection of renovated traditional chalets in the heart of the village, close to the main gondola.

The soon to open Four Seasons Hotel Megeve is 44 miles from the Geneva International Airport. It is going to be the first hotel to offer direct access to the Mont d’Arbois slopes. Skiers looking for direct ski in and out will now have a place to unwind in luxury, courtesy of Four Seasons Hotel Megeve and Chalet du Mont d’Arbois.

The Four Seasons Hotel and Chalet Megeve is the brand’s first mountain destination in Europe. It is a joint project between Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and Edmond de Rothschild Heritage, a well-known lifestyle company owned by Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild. The de Rothschild family long history in Megeve and Four Seasons renowned service will certainly benefit the next generation of luxury travelers.

Megeve is known for its cultural and gastronomy heritage, thanks to the multiple Michelin-star restaurants in the Mont d’Arbois village. It is also famous for its striking natural landscape, winding cobblestone streets, historic architecture and endless Alpine adventures like dog sledding and heli-skiing. Megeve is truly a vacation destination not just for skiers but everyone who enjoys life. Travelers can experience everything Megeve has to offer since it also transformed in the warmer months. Four Seasons Hotel and Chalet du Mont d’Arbois Megeve will be the brand’s third destination in France. The hotel and chalet Megeve will be joining the legendary Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat, in the French Riviera and Four Seasons Hotel George V in Paris. In the company’s portfolio, the Hotel Megeve will be the fifth ski destination, joining Four Seasons Resorts and Residences Jackson Hole, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Vail, Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe and Four Seasons Resorts and Residences Whistler.
