Chopard has introduced the world’s most expensive sunglasses which have been made for them by De Rigo Vision who are the world leaders in design and production of high end luxury glasses. The unique pair of sunglasses was first introduced in the One and Only Royal Mirage and is now available at Paris Gallery outlets in Dubai. The city has become the most popular destination for the rich and famous shoppers from across the world. The sunglasses have been priced at a whopping Dh.1.5 million and it is the diamonds featuring on the glass frame that has pushed the price so high.
The Diamonds on the Frame Have Been Set Using a New Technique
The diamonds have been set on the frame using a new technique that allows the stones to be set closer together compared to the classic pave setting. The stones are so close that they create the effect of a carpet that lets out a special light. The frames also feature the ‘C’ logo of the brand on the sides of the temple. The logo is highlighted by using stove enamel which is specially created by grounding colored glass by hand and placing it in an oven four times. It is the ultimate pair of sunglasses that should hold the record for being the most expensive pair for a long time.
The Sunglasses Project the Richness of the Wearer’s Luxurious Lifestyle
De Rigo Vision believes that sunglasses are not simply meant to protect your eyes but they also project the richness of the wearer’s luxurious lifestyle. That’s one of the reasons why affluent customers are not deterred by huge price tags. The sunglasses were unveiled at Milan and then traveled to Dubai in December 2012. The sunglasses are on display at the Mall of Emirates, Dubai Mall and other locations of Paris Gallery. Dubai seemed to be the most appropriate location for the display of the sunglasses at this price point because the city hosts a growing number of the rich and famous from across the world for shopping. Derivision FZCO represents the eye wear brand in the Middle East and the UAE. They are excited by the response the exclusive sunglasses has received.
