Third Edition of Diner des Grand Chefs to be Held at London on April 22

Relais & Chateaux have created the ultimate gourmet event, Diner des Grand Chefs. In just two years this annual event has become the most eagerly awaited event for people who love fine cuisine and imaginative cooking. 45 Grand Chefs from around the world come together to prepare never seen or tasted before dishes for a select group of diners. They have positioned it as a once in a lifetime exquisite gastronomic journey. The third edition of this amazing annual event is scheduled to take place in London on April 22. The location will be the Old Bilingsgate which was once the world’s largest fish markets.

The Grand Chefs Comes in 15 Teams of Three Chefs Each

In all, 600 guests will get the opportunity to savour the cuisine from renowned chefs. Those interested must book their tickets early to avoid disappointment. The tickets will cost you about $980 per person. The panel of chefs have some very big names from the culinary world including Michael White of the United States, Yoshinori Shibuya of Japan, Enrico Cerea of Italy, and more. The Grand Chefs will be divided into fifteen teams of three chefs each and each group will prepare 15 never-before-seen menus exclusive to their designated tables. Each chef comes with his or her individual cultural influences and backgrounds which is evident in the dishes they prepare.

London has a very cosmopolitan environment and the new dishes will try and capture the city’s multicultural gastronomic atmosphere. There are chefs who come from South Africa, Taiwan, Germany, and Switzerland. There are no details available as of now about the menu but one can safely expect a hearty mix of farm-raised meats and seafood. The five course meal may include diver-caught Scottish scallops and Aberdeen Angus beef. It could be followed by a course based on cheese and end with an innovative interpretation of English pudding dessert. The will be special wine pairing with every course. A long list of vintage Champagnes from Pommery has been made available for the purpose. It is sure to be a memorable culinary experience.
