Originally the city guides had become popular for the budget travelers. Louis Vuitton has taken it to the other extreme with city guides for the luxury travelers. Their new collection of Louis Vuitton City Guides was released on October 15. The new collection has added new destinations which are difficult to find in any of the luxury travel guides. Some of the cities earlier covered like London, Paris and Rome are presented in an entirely different form. And Hong Kong and Macau, for the first time have been presented in an individual volume.
The European City box has been expanded and now includes cities like Bari, Birmingham, Odessa, Salzburg and Zagreb. These five destinations have appeared in the guides for the first time. The launch of the first Louis Vuitton Hong Kong/Macao City Guide was celebrated with a cocktail reception at The Landmark, Louis Vuitton Mansion on November 15. Over 200 VIP guests were invited to the exclusive event that promoted the cultural spirit of the City Guide. A corner of the boutique was converted into a reception area serving the iconic snacks from Hong Kong and Macau.
A tea tasting station was also set up in the boutique for the event as the Louis Vuitton City Guides aim to explore the essence of each city. The contents of each guide are updated regularly to highlight the latest trends and advices the laid-back luxury traveler as well as the business traveler. The new collection of city guides launched cover a total of 40 cities and offers 10,000 addresses that combine traditional and new values. You will find the traditional and extravagant locations as long as they express the essence of the city.
