Sant Chatwal has Big Plans of Expansion for Dream Hotels in India

Sant Chatwal, the noted Indian-American hotelier owns and runs a luxurious New York hotel chain. He is expanding the reach of his Dream Hotel chain and has initiated projects in India for the purpose. His first Dream Hotel project in India is coming up in Goa. This new project in India is scheduled to open in 2013 and is on track for a scheduled opening. This project has brought him back to India and he now realizes the potential in India for his luxurious hotel chain.

Chatwal is already looking at different options in India. He has identified prospective destinations like Jaipur, Mumbai and Delhi and exploring the possibility of planning a project there. He was very upbeat about his Goa project while interacting with the media. He stressed that his hotel in Goa would offer a unique experience for Indians as well as the visitors coming to India for a holiday. The hotel would have several high end amenities and facilities including a private beach. It will cater to the international traffic predominantly.

The high economic growth in India in the last decade or so has made it the perfect destination for the boutique style luxury of Dream Hotel. He is very upbeat about the potential India offers for his chain of hotels. Earlier this year he had announced plans for setting up 50 new hotels in India over the next five years. He has chalked out a major expansion plan for South Asia in association with Wyndham Hotel Group. The Chatwal Hotels & Resorts which is headquartered in New York already runs two hotels in India and has finalized nine sites for the proposed expansion plan. The first after Goa will be a 200 room hotel in Jaipur.
