This is the season of collaborations for the makers of luxury alcohol. In recent times, Damien Hirst teamed up with Somerset Cider Brandy, while Karl Lagerfeld and Banana Republic did their turns for Chateau Rauzan-Segla and Clos du Bois respectively. The next big tie-up, however, is between luxury mineral water brand S. Pellegrino and luxury fashion brand Bulgari.
Over the coming months, bottles of the iconic S. Pellegrino will appear in a bejeweled avatar thanks to the collaboration with Bulgari. The image of a gold necklace will add glitter to each of these limited edition bottles, thanks to the presence of a host of precious stones. If you are looking for a big splash of flamboyance, you will simply have to start counting the brilliant cut diamonds, the amethysts, the turquoises and the cabochon emeralds. These precious bottles are available in select fine dining restaurants throughout the month of October. And if you are a fashion enthusiast, you will probably recognize the 1960s-style Bulgari design.
Of course, such precious bottles of water must maintain their exclusivity. So it is no wonder that only 50 million of these glass bottles will be distributed. Additionally, Bulgari and S. Pellegrino have created 2,500 couvettes that resemble jewelry boxes. Within each of these limited edition gift packs sits the precious bottle. The prices for one of these special edition bottles of water are sure to shoot through the roof. However, if one is in it just for the bottle, perhaps it would make sense. The coming together of these two luxury Italian brands is a matter for celebration.
