The top-of-the-line VPL-VW1000ES 4K home theater projector model is the first home theater front projector capable of displaying stunning 4K images. With over four times the resolution of HDTV people who custom install home theaters are in for a more immersive, engaging visual experience. The VPL-VW1000ES projector with 2,000 ANSI-lumens of brightness is twice as effective as its previous high end models for home theater. The new model is capable of projecting images which are 200 inches in size. SXRD 4K panel is an entirely new feature of the projector which combined with Sony’s Iris3 technology achieves an incredible 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast.

Another exclusive feature of the new projector is the 4K “upscaler” that dramatically enhances all content be it SD or HD, 2D or 3D. The viewer can enjoy 4K playback for all the content they have. For Full 4K 3D, an integrated IR transmitter drives the projector’s TDG-PJ1 active shutter 3D glasses. The projector is compatible with leading home automation systems. It has an RS232 interface, two triggers for motorized screens and curtains, a 2.1 motorized zoom. The price of the new projector has not been announced as yet but it is expected to be on the higher side.
