Paul Allen, the co-founder of one of the biggest technology companies in the world, Microsoft Corporation is now reportedly selling his very own private island, christened, ‘Allen Island’ and is seeking an astounding $13.5 million as the selling price. This magnificent island is spread across a vast 292 acres and the entire lot is located south-west of Washington. The entire island has was purchased by Paul Allen in the year 1992 and immediately began a renovation drive to turn the island into his personal vacationing retreat. However, later on the extensive construction plans were halted and the facilities on the island were limited to a few required ones. The Allen Island will provide its new owner with wooden vacationing home, airstrip, dock and beaches along with much warranted peace as well as serenity. The entire island is composed of lush vegetation and as per reports the island has been put up for sale in order to raise finances for a second island that Mr. Allen is planning to buy.
The Allen Island was previously put up for sale in the year 2005 with an asking price of $25 million, but was later withdrawn due to lack of interest from the buyers. This majestic island is accessible by both air and sea and offers breathtaking views of Olympic Mountains, Strait of Juan de Fuca, and the Rosario Strait, as the island itself is nestled between Burrows Bay and Rosario Strait. The residential premises on the island come with special facilities for staff residences as well as a dedicated water management system.
