There is a strong demand for adventure travel and cruise companies are designing itineraries for travel experience that is adventurous in nature. First we had the InnerSea Discoveries which were basically Alaska Adventure Cruise. Now, InnerSea’s sister-line American Safari Cruises has released its 2012-2013 Schedule of Active Yacht Adventures for its three luxury yacht fleet. It provides details of each voyage and what the guests can look forward to. The Safari Spirit carries 12 guests where as Safari Quest and Safari Explorer carries 22 and 36 guests respectively.
The voyages in the coming calendar are expedition cruises with flexible itineraries. The three luxury yachts together cover a wide range of destinations including Southeast Alaska, Mexico’s Sea of Cortés, Columbia and Snake Rivers, Hawaiian Islands and Washington and British Columbia. Tim Jacox who is responsible for sales and marketing explained that they had released the brochures with the 2012 calendar a little early this year as the 2011 season was very successful and wanted to book 2012 as early as possible. It would allow them that much more time to prepare for the adventure cruises.
The flexible itineraries make it possible to maximize wildlife viewing opportunities and provide one-of-a-kind active adventures for guests. All kinds of activities are part of the cruise, including kayaking, hiking, biking, yoga, beachcombing, snorkeling, stand up paddle boarding, tubing, sailing and skiff rides. There are experts and naturalists leading many of the excursions. The Safari Explorer will continue sailing seven-night Hawaiian Seascapes cruises, right up to April, 2013. Between May and August 2012 all the three yachts will sail round trip to Juneau, Alaska. The cruises are all inclusive and the prices include all yacht activities and equipments. It also covers all the meals including fine wine and premium spirits, all taxes and fees.
