We have been writing repeatedly about the growing popularity of the pop up stores with the luxury brands. LANVIN also seems to have adopted the concept wholeheartedly. They had experimented with the concept in the port city of Saint Tropez last summer and the enthusiastic response it received has encouraged them to open a pop up boutique along the glamorous coast of the French Riviera for the second consecutive year. And the way this trend is growing, there is a strong likelihood that it will become an annual feature for the company.
The pop up store is situated on Avenue Foch. The temporary boutique has a total space of 40 square meters and resembles the stage of a mini theatre. It offers fashionistas and shoppers alike a beautiful and alluring selection of pieces of women’s ready to wear and accessories from the summer 2011 collection, swimwear capsule collection. The boutique is furnished with Lanvin’s signature black metal shelves and iron clothing racks and you immediately feel that you are in a Lanvin flagship store. Though temporary, the space has been thoughtfully and innovatively designed.
The store exudes a sense of playfulness and fun. As you enter, you see two large display windows that have been installed with unique mannequins made of lacquer in green or red. The walls of the boutique are infused with the sketches of caricatures drawn by Alber Elbaz. Even in the small space an area to lounge has also been created and furnished with a stylish sofa. It is a perfect place where the visitors can explore and discover the world of Lanvin. There is festive delight in the atmosphere. It is a fun place to be in and at the same time it provides you with an opportunity for some serious shopping.
