Coty Prestige Collaborates with Bottega Veneta to Unveil New Fragrance

Coty Prestige has an association with Bottega Veneta since 2009. They recently unveiled the first feminine fragrance resulting from the partnership. It was a grand event at the Palazzo Trivulzio in Milan. The new fragrance will become available worldwide, including the travel retail channel from September this year. Bottega Veneta is a prestigious luxury lifestyle brand. Its understated elegance and sophistication has won it a rather large and loyal client base. They are predominantly into handbags, women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, luggage, and fine jewelry but have a presence in several other categories. However, Coty has been in fragrances and had recently launched their Crystal Fragrance.

The new fragrance was revealed in style at a cocktail party. All the senior Coty executives were in attendance including CEO Bernd Beetz, Coty Prestige President Michele Scannavini and Senior Vice President Commercial Jean Mortier. After the reveal the party moved on to Bice for dinner. Coty Prestige Marketing Director, Travel Retail and Export Worldwide Markus Stauss stressed the point that the new license and the tie up with Bottega Veneta is very important for them. It is an important addition to their designer brand portfolio and will help them drive the growth particularly in travel retail.

The designer brands are focused at a particular class of customers and have witnessed smart growths in all the regions. The new fragrance will first become available at Harrods and the rolled out worldwide primarily in flagship stores. The preparations for the launch are on in full swing and all the details like animations, promotions and point of sale activity are being finalized. The primary focus will be on Asia though, Europe and America would also be key to the successful launch of the brand. William C Daley Director Communications for Bottega Veneta also sees the development of the new fragrance as an important development for the brand and represents enormous potential.
