One of the biggest manufacturers of racing cars and the proud developers of the phenomenal McLaren F1 super car, McLaren, has now teamed up with the state of the art bicycle designer, Specialized, design and develop an all new bicycle, the S-Specialized + McLaren Venge, that is also said to be the world’s fastest bike. This incredible partnership witnessed the coming together of the famous McLaren Applied Technologies (MAT) with Specialized, where in both the companies brought together their marvelous engineering skills to the already sensational Venge series of racing bikes from Specialized.

The all new S-Specialized + McLaren Venge is made mostly from carbon fiber, where in McLaren applied adequate and precise amounts of this precious compound to frame of the bike about 10-15% lighter than other carbon fiber bike frames. This one of a kind racing bike has been endorsed and driven by Tour de France multiple stage winner, Mark Cavendish, who was also the winner of the event in the year 2009. The all new S-Specialized + McLaren Venge will be available to the customers in two models. First being a race-only version and the second being a street legal variant, with both models carrying a price tag of $18,000 and $9,200 respectively.

According to Duncan Bradley (Design Director, MAT),

“At McLaren, we like to push the boundaries as far as possible to create something special in everything we do. This project was about consistently balancing our desire to pursue engineering perfection with the realities of delivering a commercially viable product. Both teams have done a great job to deliver a very special bike with benchmark performance that  everyone could ride. The world’s fastest bike will face a baptism of fire when it is put to the test for the first time ever in Saturday’s classic Milan-San Remo one-day race.”
