Awards do not necessarily mean a five-star venue where colorful ceremony draws the curtains in the honor of nominees/winners. For luxury lovers, it could also mean the recognition from their savvy consumer based out in other part of the globe and helping them evolve their product as an established brand. Our sister site TheLuxuryHub organized LuXplosion, a luxury award contest with a similar model in mind and had our share of success. Thankyou all for your kind participation!!!
Numbers reveal 15,465 voters participated in the contest, which started with inviting nominees on 1 December 2010. I swear on my digital lungs, the 3-months kept us on our silhouettes’ (toes) and we enjoyed answering all emails regarding the contest.
We were already floored by the gamut of luxury awards happening in the industry for ages now i.e. Luxury Hotel Awards, World Luxury Award, Good Spa Awards, Luxist Awards, World Travel Awards, Very Best Awards but via LuXplosion we aim to take the luxury awards to a new level thereby virtually recognizing not only hospitality tycoons, affluent travel service providers but also people, retailers, authors, blogs and social media mammals who religiously adore luxury. The 6 categories it invited nomination across are: Luxury Lifestyle, Luxury Travel, Luxury Blogs, Luxury Social Media, Affluent people and Luxury Leaders.
