The Relais & Chateaux Guide was first launched in 1961. It has not grown just in size since then but has become a veritable reference book. The organization behind the guide is Relais & Chateaux which is a global fellowship of individually owned and operated luxury hotels and restaurants. They have member properties around the world but are particularly strong in Europe. The association is growing in North America and Asia.
The latest edition of the Guide has devoted one full page entirely to every Relais & Chateaux property. The association has grown so large that the Guide now has 680 pages and each one of the property is worth discovering. All of them seem to be the one you had been looking for all along. Relais & Chateaux is known for its extremely strict admission norms. The member hotels not only have luxurious amenities but have special features that distinguish them from chain hotels.
All the members of Relais & Chateaux have contributed and collaborated to create the new guide. Every one of them has showcased the values they share with Relais & Chateaux. A lot of the properties are historic landmarks such as castles, manor houses, or townhouses in idyllic settings. It is their character and charm that makes them a proud Relais & Chateaux.
