Chongqing Invests 2 Billion Yuan on a Fleet of 10 Inland River Luxury Liners

Yangtze River is soon going to see a fleet of luxury liners. The Chongqing Traffic and Tourism Investment Group Co. is investing 2 billion Yuan in building a fleet of 10 luxurious inland river liners. The first one of them to be called ‘Golden No. 1’ is scheduled to be launched on May 1 this year.  The luxury liners are going to be the largest, cosiest and most luxurious liners for travelling on an inland river.

The ships will not only have helipads but miniature golf course as well. The Golden No.1 will be 136 meter long and 19.6 meter wide. The 11,000 ton vessel will have six floors and will have 161 guest rooms. It can host up to 355 people in luxurious comfort. The luxury vessel is designed to have long river view balconies, presidential suites, a shopping street, a cigar room, a children’s park, a clinic, multiplexes and food courts.

The vessel being built at the Chongqing Dongfeng Shipyard will be more than a five star hotel when it is ready for launch. The investment company is sparing no expense to equip the ships with the latest technology from around the world. Sometime by the second half of next year the entire fleet of ten ships will become operational and make for splendid floating scenery on Yangtze River.
