Blossom Japan, First ever Appointment Based Luxury Travel Event Starts in Tokyo

Blossom Japan, a B to B exclusive event for the international luxury travel industry got off to a grand start. This is the first ever appointment based event for the Japanese inbound and outbound luxury travel market. The participants who have some of the top names from the Japanese and international travel industry will hold almost 6,400 appointments over three days in the course of the event.

As reported by The Luxury Hub earlier this month, Lucioles had conceived this event as a platform to interact with the key players in the luxury travel industry. Jay Martens, the CEO of the agency said on the occasion that the event was a result of two years of planning, research and tenacity and re was overwhelmed by the response and the participation of the very top of the buyers and exhibitors. Amanresorts, Silversea Cruises, dmAfrica, Park Hyatt, Sun International and Japanese exhibitors such as Hotel Tsuruga Group, The Terrace Hotels, Wanosato and many more are represented by their senior management in the event.

The participants were equally excited and some of them were looking forward to as many as 90 appointments with serious Japanese buyers. The potential in the Japanese market is enormous as it has the largest concentration of high net worth individuals after the US. But it is not an easy market to penetrate because of the complex nature of the Japanese society. But Japan is opening up to International luxury travelers and Blossom Japan will definitely help take the process forward.
