ShanghaiMart, the Exhibition Platform Aims to Become the Centre of Fashion Industry in China

China, apart from other things, also holds the distinction of being the fastest growing luxury market. All the global brands are focusing on China in order to maximize their share of the market. To facilitate this increasing business activity Shanghai Mart has positioned itself as a trade platform that connects the world’s vendors with local buyers. Their orientation is on textile and fabric, gifts and fashion accessories.

Shanghai Mart has very impressive conference and exhibition facilities and tailor-made event planning services. It has the potential of becoming a fashion industry centre. It is one of Asia’s largest permanent international trade marts in Shanghai’s Changning District. Eight Japanese fashion brands are lined up for showcasing their shoes, clothes, bags and jeans designs to the Chinese market during the next three months. It is all a part of the ‘Tokyo Eye’ campaign to help the Japanese vendors connect with the Chinese luxury fashion trade.

The Mart provides a total of 30,000 square meters of conference and exhibition area. It could be a trade seminar with 20 participants or a trade fair with 20,000 visitors, the Mart handles it equally well. The venue caters for three key industries – apparel and textiles, gifts and home decor, and building materials. They have specially designed a full set of customized procurement program packages and claim to meet the buyers’ needs at the lowest cost and the highest efficiency.
