Tenth anniversary of International Herald Tribune at London’s One Mayfair

Luxury has so many different meanings for each of us; to some luxury’s getting dinner, to some it is getting caviar for dinner. But to those who have absolutely everything money could ever buy, luxury can hold a very different meaning.

Fashion designers who attended the Heritage Luxury party at London’s One Mayfair to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the International Herald Tribune’s Luxury Conferences had different opinions on what luxury meant to them. Luxury designer and film director Tom Ford felt that luxury is something that needs to be genuine, authentic and human and not synthetic or made by technology. He said that the best luxury of all was time and that if there was a life without Blackberry he would be sure to buy that! Interior designer and style icon Nikki Haslam said that she wanted time for a feeling of romance accessorized with a large martini. Don’t us all!

Hosts at this celebration were fashion editor Suzy Menkes and Peter Levy of IMG. Other guests included Nadja Swarovski, Pam Hogg, Virginia Bates, Rosita Missoni and Angela Missoni, Hannah Marshall, and model Daisy Lowe amongst many others.
